The assessment of rolling bearing reliability is vital for ensuring mechanical operational safety and minimizing maintenance costs. Due to the difficulty in obtaining data on the performance degradation and failure time of rolling bearings, traditional methods for reliability assessment are challenged. This paper introduces a novel hybrid method for the reliability assessment of rolling bearings, combining the convolutional neural network (CNN)‐convolutional block attention module (CBAM)‐ bidirectional long short‐term memory (BiLSTM) network with the Wiener process. The approach comprises three distinct stages: Initially, it involves acquiring two‐dimensional time‐frequency representations of bearings at various operational phases using Continuous Wavelet Transform. Subsequently, the CNN‐CBAM‐BiLSTM network is employed to establish health index (HI) for the bearings and to facilitate the extraction of deep features, serving as input for the Wiener process. The final stage applies the Wiener process to evaluate the bearings' reliability, characterizing the HI and quantifying uncertainties. Many deep learning methods typically assume that the marginal probability distribution between the training and testing bearing data is similar or the same. However, the probability distribution of rolling bearings may deviate significantly under diverse working conditions. To address the above limitations, a novel transferable remaining useful life (RUL) prediction method integrated with Bayesian deep learning and unsupervised domain adaptation (DA) is proposed. First, the signal alignment is executed on the data after the first prediction time to maintain the same granularity and scale across both source and target domains. Second, the multi‐domain features are extracted and sent into the dual‐channel Transformer network (DCTN) incorporating the convolutional block attention module (CBAM) to adequately exploit the abundant degradation information. Then, the DA module is incorporated into the model to mitigate the distribution discrepancies of the extracted high‐level merged features between the source and target domains. Finally, by applying the variational inference method, the DCTN‐CBAM is extended to the Bayesian deep neural network, and the RUL prediction and its corresponding confidence intervals can be conveniently derived. In addition, the generalization capability and effectiveness are validated through six bidirectional transfer RUL prediction tasks across two rolling bearing datasets. In this paper, a hybrid convolutional neural network (CNN)-bidirectional gated recurrent unit (BiGRU) model is integrated with the bootstrap method to endow the deep learning (DL) based prognostic method with the quantification capability of the prognostic intervals. The proposed hybrid method contains three parts: (I) The complete ensemble empirical mode decomposition with adaptive noise and principal component analysis and the CNN-BiGRU are utilized to automatically construct the health indicator (HI). (II) 3 σ criterion is employed to detect the first predicting time based on the HIs of rolling bearings. (III) The bootstrap method is imposed to endow the proposed DL method with the quantification capability of the prognostic intervals. The experimental validation is carried out on the XJTU-SY bearing dataset and the proposed method outperforms the other four methods in the majority of cases. In addition, the proposed method not only comprehensively considers the fault prognosis error caused by model parameters and noise, but also considers the prediction error caused by different combinations of features on the model. Remaining Useful Life (RUL) prediction of drilling pumps, pivotal components in fossil energy production, is essential for efficient maintenance and safe operation of such facilities. This paper introduces a deep feature learning method that combines a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN)-Convolutional Block Attention Module (CBAM) and a Transformer network into a parallel channel method to predict the RUL of drilling pumps. Specifically, two parallel channels independently extract time-frequency domain and time-domain features from strain signals and then proceed with degradation estimation through feature learning. The deep features derived independently from the two channels are subsequently amalgamated to predict the RUL of the drilling pump. The proposed method is validated by the operational data from four operating drilling pumps. The comparative analysis confirms the higher accuracy of the proposed method over several existing state-of-the-art approaches. Overall, the proposed method supports the safe and cost-saving-oriented operation and maintenance of drilling pumps. • Time and time-frequency domain features are incorporated as inputs of the model. • Feature weights are adaptively assigned by the CBAM and multi-head attention mechanisms. • A parallel feature extraction structure is created for model generalization and overfitting risk reduction.
