Little research has been conducted to assess which specific databases should be searched when performing a systematic review (SR) on acupuncture. The current study aimed to identify key databases and the optimal database combination to retrieve randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on acupuncture for inclusion in SRs. A systematic search for SRs in the field of acupuncture was conducted in order to identify target databases and RCTs were extracted from the SRs that had searched all target databases. The proportions of SRs that had achieved 100%, 95%, or 90% recall of RCTs and the total recall of RCTs in various combinations of target databases were calculated. Sensitivity analysis was performed on those SRs that included 10 or more RCTs. CNKI, WanFang, VIP, PubMed, CENTRAL and Embase were regarded as target databases. A total of 4349 acupuncture RCTs were extracted from 286 SRs. Searching all six target databases retrieved 99.3% of all RCTs while 99.1% were recalled by searching the combination of CNKI, WanFang, PubMed and CENTRAL. There were no significant differences on total recall of RCTs (p = 0.549) or in the proportion of SRs with 90% recall of RCTs (97.2% vs. 97.6%; p = 0.794) between searching the above four and the full six target databases. Most results were similar in the sensitivity analysis. The combined retrieval power of CNKI, WanFang, PubMed and CENTRAL was considered an efficient choice to retrieve acupuncture RCTs included in SRs.

Financial reporting is a snapshot of the business activities and financial status of companies and is widely used for various purposes by different stakeholders, including insiders and outsiders of the company. The quality and relevance of the financial reporting made by the company’s managers with mixed incentives largely influenced investment decision-making, resulting in information asymmetry in the capital market. The financial statement analysis (FSA) plays an important part to mitigate the information gap and assists investors in making unbiased investment decisions, which consists of four parts: business strategy analysis, accounting analysis, financial analysis and prospective analysis. This paper analyses inside information from Pfizer Inc. using FSA based on the financial reporting from the financial year of 2019 to 2022 (FY2019 to FY2022) in conjunction with other supplement materials. This paper finds Pfizer primarily takes the product differentiation strategy as its key profit driver, and the related accounting policies and estimations generally reflect the economic reality. The short-term liquidity of Pfizer should be enhanced, and the firm’s market value is overvalued compared to its intrinsic value on December 20, 2022.

During the cruise status of an underwater high-speed vehicle, the flow around the vehicle's head typically transitions from a laminar to a turbulent state, triggering flow noise that can interfere with the normal operation of sonar. In order to accurately investigate this flow noise through numerical simulation, a high-fidelity turbulent flow field solution is essential. Common traditional turbulence numerical simulation methods, such as unsteady Reynolds-averaged simulation and large eddy simulation (LES), struggle to capture high-frequency turbulent fluctuations accurately due to their inability to directly resolve small-scale eddy structures, which results in compromising the simulation accuracy of high-frequency flow noise. To address this issue, this paper employs direct numerical simulation (DNS) to achieve high-fidelity resolution of the turbulent flow field, thereby enabling a more accurate assessment of flow noise distribution on the vehicle's surface. Meanwhile, considering significant computational resources required to solve the entire flow field in an underwater high Reynolds number environment, this study also incorporates the fixed transition modeling method and stability theory to confine the DNS computational domain to the vicinity of the transitional zone to improve simulation efficiency. Comparative analysis of flow noise monitoring results in the laminar, transitional, and turbulent zones revealed that the flow noise source in the laminar zone exhibits the lowest amplitude across all frequencies, while the flow noise source in the transitional zone features the highest amplitude, approximately 10 dB higher than that in the turbulent zone. Moreover, significant amplitudes in high-frequency components (above 30 kHz) are detected in both the transition and turbulent zones. Additionally, this study employs LES with the Smagorinsky model to simulate the flow field within the same computational domain as DNS, demonstrating the limitations of the Smagorinsky model-based LES in capturing high-frequency flow noise. Background: Reportedly, the stress–hyperglycemia ratio (SHR) is closely associated with poor prognosis in patients with severe acute disease. However, the community‐dwelling may also be in a state of stress due to environmental exposure. Our study aimed to explore the association between SHR and all‐cause mortality in the community‐dwelling population. Methods: A total of 18 480 participants were included out of 82 091 from the NHANES 1999–2014 survey. The Kaplan–Meier survival analyses were used to assess the disparities in survival rates based on SHR, and the log‐rank test was employed to investigate the distinctions between groups. The multivariate Cox regression analysis and restricted cubic spline (RCS) analysis were performed to assess the association of SHR with all‐cause mortality. A subgroup analysis was also conducted. Results: A total of 3188 deaths occurred during a median follow‐up period of 11.0 (7.7; 15.4) years. The highest risk for all‐cause mortality was observed when SHR≤ 0.843 or SHR ≥0.986 (log‐rank p <.001). After adjusting for the confounding factors, compared with subjects in the second SHR quartile (Q2), participants in the highest (Q4, adjusted hazard ratio [HR] 1.49, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.28–1.73) and lowest quartiles (Q1, adjusted HR 1.37, 95% CI 1.16–1.60) have a higher probability of all‐cause death. The RCS observed a dose‐response U‐shaped association between SHR and all‐cause mortality. The U‐shaped association between SHR and all‐cause mortality was similar across subgroup analysis. Conclusions: The SHR was significantly associated with all‐cause mortality in the community‐dwelling population, and the relationship was U‐shaped. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Elucidating the interaction between magnetic moments and itinerant carriers is an important step to spintronic applications. Here, we investigate magnetic and transport properties in d0 ferromagnetic SiC single crystals prepared by postimplantation pulsed laser annealing. Magnetic moments are contributed by the p states of carbon atoms, but their magnetic circular dichroism is different from that in semi-insulating SiC samples. The anomalous Hall effect and negative magnetoresistance indicate the influence of d0 spin order on free carriers. The ferromagnetism is relatively weak in N-implanted SiC compared with that in Al-implanted SiC after annealing. The results suggest that d0 magnetic moments and itinerant carriers can interact with each other, which will facilitate the development of SiC spintronic devices with d0 ferromagnetism.

We investigate the interaction between charges and spin order of the defect complex V6 in silicon. The first-principles calculations predict spin resolved band splitting incurred by a neutral V6 yet with no net spin. Therefore, any shift of Fermi level can trigger the spin polarization. Both s and p states contribute local moments in the positively charged V6. The ferromagnetic coupling is only obtained between a positively charged V6 and a neutral one. In silicon after neutron irradiation, magnetism is achieved even at room temperature. The 3s∗3p∗ hybrid states of V6 are probably responsible for the observed long-range magnetic order. Our results unravel the role of charged V6 in inducing magnetism and will be useful in understanding and further manipulating the intrinsic properties of defect complexes in silicon and other semiconductors.
