Rhabdomyosarcomas are rare malignant tumors of the head and neck region. They originate from the mesenchymal cells and look like embryonal fetal muscle fibers. Rhabdomyosarcomas as morphologically in four main groups are classified embriyonal, botrioid, alveoler and pleomorphic. Head and neck area in three anatomical regions are defined in the placement of rhabdomyosarcomas. These region are orbital, parameningeal and nonparameningeal-nonorbital. Most common site is the orbital region. Other sites are the nasopharynx, middle ear, paranasal sinuses, nasal cavity, neck and larynx. Rhabdomyosarcoma generally has a poor prognosis. To improve the survey of the patients an interdisciplinary approach is necessary. Rhabdomyosarcoma is the most common soft tissue tumor in children. Majority of cases are seen first decade. It is a rare pathology, we evaluated in the literature of two parameningeal cases, which we diagnosed and operated in our clinic.

Objectives:The most common anatomic variations of nasal septum deviation, the second most common Concha Bullosa (CB) are seen on the nose. CB is the most common anatomic variation of the osteomeatal region. CB is often together with osteomeatal complex pathology. Septum, osteomeatal complex and infection investigated its relationship with CB, but are unknown in the developmental effects of inferior turbinate. The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the unilateral CB objectively the effect of the inferior turbinate.Methods:Haseki Education and Research Hospital during 1st ENT outpatient clinic and among the investigated patients with unilateral CB Study group was created. A total of 43 patients were included in this study. Consisted of 23 male and 20 female patients. The mean age of 29.4 (19-46), respectively. Study group of patients have with unilateral CB, control group have contra lateral side. Coronal paranasal sinus computed tomography in patients CB of front, middle and posterior sections in cross-sectional plane and at the same level of control measurements were made. The angle and the distance between the inferior turbinate bone and the lateral wall of the nasal fossa were measured on the coronal plane anterior posteriorly at tree (Front, middle and posterior) different anatomic levels. The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of intranasal phototherapy on nasal microbial flora in patients with allergic rhinitis. This prospective, self-comparised, single blind study was performed on patients with a history of at least two years of moderate-to-severe perennial allergic rhinitis that was not controlled by anti-allergic drugs. Thirty-one perennial allergic rhinitis patients were enrolled in this study. Before starting the test population on their intranasal phototherapy, the same trained person took a nasal culture from each subject by applying a sterile cotton swab along each side of the nostril and middle meatus. Each intranasal cavity was irradiated three times a week for two weeks with increasing doses of irradiated. At the end of the intranasal phototherapy, nasal cultures were again obtained from the each nostril The study found that after intranasal phototherapy, the scores for total nasal symptoms decreased significantly but bacterial proliferation was not significantly different before and after phototherapy. We have shown that intranasal phototherapy does not change the aerobic nasal microbial flora in patients with perennial allergic rhinitis.

Objective:Systemic absorption of steroids is reasonable because of the lipophilic nature of steroids and high vascularity of the middle ear mucosa. To date, however, of the clinical trials designed to investigate this subject, to the best of our knowledge, none has been based on objective methods. This study aims to demonstrate whether the intratympanic administration of dexamethasone has any systemic effects.Methods:Seventeen patients had a total of five sessions of intratympanic dexamethasone treatment scheduled for every other day. The mean fasting blood glucose, serum cortisol, serum adrenocorticotrophic hormone (ACTH), and arterial blood pressure values of the patients were checked at each session before and after drug application.Result:There were no statistically significant differences identified between the pre- and post-treatment fasting blood glucose, serum cortisol, serum ACTH, and mean arterial blood pressure.Conclusion:This study shows that intratympanic steroids have no noticeable systemic steroidal side effects and are therefore safe to use; however, caution should be taken with patients suffering from diabetes mellitus, and they should be closely monitored.
