Optical logic gates based on nonlinear optical property of material with ultrafast response speed and excellent computational processing power can break the performance bottleneck of electronic transistors. As one of the layered 2D materials, Ta2NiS5 exhibits high anisotropic mobility, exotic electrical response, and intriguing optical properties. Due to the low-symmetrical crystal structures, it possesses in-plane anisotropic physical properties. The optical absorption information of Ta2NiS5 is investigated by anisotropic linear absorption spectra, femtosecond laser intensity scanning (I-scan), and non-degenerate pump-probe technology. The I-scan results show a distinct maximum of ∼4.9 % saturable absorption (SA) and ∼4 % reverse saturable absorption (RSA) at different polarization directions of the incident laser. And, these unique nonlinear optical (NLO) properties originate from the anisotropic optical transition probability. Furthermore, the novel Ta2NiS5-based all-optical logic gates are proposed by manipulating the NLO absorption processes. And, the all-optical OR and NOR logic gates possess an ultrafast response speed approaching 1.7 THz. Meanwhile, an all-optical information transmission method with higher security and accuracy is achieved, which has promising potential to avoid the disclosure of information. Improving the quality of wavefront shaping (WFS) is a major problem of anti-scattering optical information transmission in the perturbation environment. To tackle this issue, we propose a simple and robust method, named Point Guard algorithm (PGA), to manipulate the optical interference by encoding the digital micromirror device (DMD). The PGA method is inspired by the movement strategies of Point Guard (PG) in professional basketball association. Compared with the most popular method genetic algorithm (GA), the proposed PGA method has a stronger anti-perturbation capacity. In the experiment, the scattering medium consists of ground glass and polystyrene microspheres (PS) suspended in deionized water, and the movement of microspheres is used to cause a perturbation. It is found that PGA still has a better modulation quality when the suspension is too thick to see the ballistic light. PGA puts a new perspective in applications such as optogenetics and biomedical imaging in complex environment.

In this paper, we consider a problem of reconstructing complex coefficients of the coherent su-perposition of Laguerre–Gaussian modes from the field intensity in a plane perpendicular to the propagation axis at a given distance using the Levenberg–Marquardt and Brent algorithm. The efficiency of using stage-by-stage optimization to restore complex coefficients of a superposition is demonstrated not only on model, but also on experimental intensity distributions. The algorithm can be used in optical information transmission through a turbulent atmosphere to process the received intensity distribution of the optical signal.
