The article focuses on a study conducted by the International Program of Psycho-Social Health Research (IPP-SHR) which is said to lead the way to ensure that patients diagnosed with blood-related cancer receive access to palliative care services. The study shows that palliative care not only benefits patients but helps the families in facing the challenge of rebuilding their lives after a significant loss according to IPP-SHR researcher Doctor Pam McGrath.
