The article offer news briefs related to Special Libraries Association (SLA). The board of directors of SLA has voted to increase annual dues by 15% and make new dues tier for members who earn more than 75,000 dollars. Alignment Project resources of SLA are available by a new portal on its www.sla.org/contents/SLA/alignment/portal/index.html. SLA accepts proposals which include topics such as library science to be presented at the 2010 Annual Conference of SLA in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Abstract
This article provides information on the annual meeting held by the Southern College Art Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana from October 24 to 26, 1985. The meeting was hosted by the University of New Orleans. Members of the Visual Resources Curators participated in art history sessions of the event. Various papers and issues about art and information resources were discussed by invited speakers and art curators.
