The article describes the architectural design of the extension of the IRCAM sound studio in Paris, France designed by British architect Renzo Piano. The paper provides relevant photographs, floor plans, architectural drawings and architectural renderings of the project. The different types of materials used in the building are also discussed.

The paper provides relevant photographs, floor plans, architectural drawings and architectural renderings of the project. The different types of materials used in the building are also discussed.
The article discusses the comparative study which analysis the National Museum of Modern Art in Pompidou Centre, Paris, France and the Tate Modern art gallery in London, England. It notes that the Pompidou museum was designed by Richard Rogers and Renzo Piano while the Tate art gallery was an industrial building renovated by Swiss practice Herzog & de Meuron. It adds that the two museums have similarities in spatial ideas and fundamental morphological properties that house large-scale modern art in buildings that constitute urban landmarks.
