As multiple and heterogenous unmanned vehicle systems continue to play an increasingly important role in addressing complex missions in the real world, the need for effective cooperation among unmanned vehicles becomes paramount. The concept of autonomous cooperation, wherein unmanned vehicles cooperate without human intervention or human control, offers promising avenues for enhancing the efficiency and adaptability of intelligence of multiple-heterogeneous unmanned vehicle systems. Despite the growing interests in this domain, as far as the authors are concerned, there exists a notable lack of comprehensive literature on defining explicit concept and classifying levels of autonomous cooperation of multiple-heterogeneous unmanned vehicle systems. In this aspect, this article aims to define the explicit concept of autonomous cooperation of multiple-heterogeneous unmanned vehicle systems. Furthermore, we provide a novel criterion to assess the technical maturity of the developed unmanned vehicle systems by classifying the autonomous cooperative levels of multiple-heterogeneous unmanned vehicle systems.

This paper explores the conditions for determining fixed nodes in structured networks, specifically focusing on directed acyclic graphs (DAGs). We introduce several necessary and sufficient conditions for determining fixed nodes in $p$-layered DAGs. This is accomplished by defining the problem of maximum disjoint stems, based on the observation that all DAGs can be represented as hierarchical structures with a unique label for each layer. For structured networks, we discuss the importance of fixed nodes by considering their controllability against the variations of network parameters. Moreover, we present an efficient algorithm that simultaneously performs labeling and fixed node search for $p$-layered DAGs with an analysis of its time complexity. The results presented in this paper have implications for the analysis of controllability at the individual node level in structured networks.

We study the expected sensitivity to the mixing between sterile and tau neutrinos directly from the tau neutrino disappearance in the high-energy fixed target experiment. Here, the beam energy is large enough to produce tau neutrinos at the target with large luminosity. During their propagation to the detector, tau neutrinos may oscillate into sterile neutrinos. By examining the energy spectrum of the observed tau neutrino events, we can probe the mixing between sterile and tau neutrinos directly. In this paper, we consider Scattering and Neutrino Detector (SND) at SHiP experiment as a showcase, which uses 400 GeV protons from SPS at CERN, and expect to observe 7,300 tau and anti-tau neutrinos from the $2\times 10^{20}$ POT for 5 years operation. Assuming the uncertainty of 10\%, we find the sensitivity $|U_{\tau 4}|^2 \sim 0.08$\, (90\% CL) for $\Delta m_{41}^2 \sim 500\ \mathrm{eV}^2$ with 10\% background to the signal. We also consider a far SND at the end of the SHiP Hidden Sector Decay Spectrometer (HSDS), in which case the sensitivity would be enhanced to $|U_{\tau 4}|^2 \sim 0.02$. Away from this mass, the sensitivity becomes lower than $|U_{\tau 4}|^2 \sim 0.15$ for $\Delta m_{41}^2 \lesssim 100\ \mathrm{eV}^2$ or $\Delta m_{41}^2\gtrsim 10^4 \mathrm{eV}^2$., Comment: 14 pages, 8 figures

Within the context of structured networks, this paper introduces the concept of the Fixed Strongly Structurally Controllable Subspace (FSSCS), enabling a comprehensive characterization of controllable subspaces. From a graph-theoretical viewpoint, the paper defines Fixed Strongly Structurally Controllable (FSSC) nodes based on the FSSCS concept and establishes the necessary and sufficient conditions for their identification. This paper proposes a method for determining the exact dimension of the Strongly Structurally Controllable Subspace (SSCS) in hierarchical directed acyclic graphs, employing a blend of graph-theoretical approaches and controllability matrix analyses. This approach not only facilitates the identification of FSSC nodes but also enhances our understanding of the robustness of node controllability against variations in network parameters within structured networks, marking a significant advancement in the field of strong structural controllability of individual nodes.

Topological quantum phases have been largely understood in weakly correlated systems, which have identified various quantum phenomena such as spin Hall effect, protected transport of helical fermions, and topological superconductivity. Robust ferromagnetic order in correlated topological materials particularly attracts attention, as it can provide a versatile platform for novel quantum devices. Here, we report singular Hall response arising from a unique band structure of flat topological nodal lines in combination with electron correlation in an itinerant, van der Waals ferromagnetic semimetal, Fe3GaTe2, with a high Curie temperature of Tc=360 K. High anomalous Hall conductivity violating the conventional scaling, resistivity upturn at low temperature, and a large Sommerfeld coefficient are observed in Fe3GaTe2, which implies heavy fermion features in this ferromagnetic topological material. Our circular dichroism in angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy and theoretical calculations support the original electronic features in the material. Thus, low-dimensional Fe3GaTe2 with electronic correlation, topology, and room-temperature ferromagnetic order appears to be a promising candidate for robust quantum devices.

We investigate detection possibility of light dark photon in the forward experiments at the LHC, such as the SND@LHC and the FASER experiments. We assume that the dark photon mass is smaller than twice of the electron mass. Then the dark photon is long-lived and copiously produced through a neutral pion decay. Such dark photons would easily pass through 100 m of rock in front of the forward experiments and the detector targets, but some portion of them could be converted into an electron-positron pair inside the detector leaving an isolated electromagnetic shower as a new physics signature of the dark photon. Our estimation shows that in the range of kinetic mixing parameter $4\times10^{-5} \lesssim \epsilon \lesssim 2\times10^{-1}$, more than 10 signal events of the dark photon can be produced assuming 150 fb$^{-1}$ integrated luminosity., Comment: 8 pages, 2 figures

Recently, researchers have utilized neural network-based speaker embedding techniques in speaker-recognition tasks to identify speakers accurately. However, speaker-discriminative embeddings do not always represent speech features such as age group well. In an embedding model that has been highly trained to capture speaker traits, the task of age group classification is closer to speech information leakage. Hence, to improve age group classification performance, we consider the use of speaker-discriminative embeddings derived from adversarial multi-task learning to align features and reduce the domain discrepancy in age subgroups. In addition, we investigated different types of speaker embeddings to learn and generalize the domain-invariant representations for age groups. Experimental results on the VoxCeleb Enrichment dataset verify the effectiveness of our proposed adaptive adversarial network in multi-objective scenarios and leveraging speaker embeddings for the domain adaptation task.

The COSINE-100 experiment has been operating with 106 kg of low-background NaI(Tl) detectors to test the results from the DAMA/LIBRA experiment, which claims to have observed dark matter. However, since the background of the NaI(Tl) crystals used in the COSINE-100 experiment is 2-3 times higher than that in the DAMA detectors, no conclusion regarding the claimed observation from the DAMA/LIBRA experiment could be reached. Therefore, we plan to upgrade the current COSINE-100 experiment to the next phase, COSINE-200, by using ultra-low background NaI(Tl) detectors. The basic principle was already proved with the commercially available Astro-grade NaI powder from Sigma-Aldrich company. However, we have developed a mass production process of ultra-pure NaI powder at the Center for Underground Physics (CUP) of the Institute for Basic Science (IBS), Korea, using the direct purification of the raw NaI powder. We plan to produce more than 1,000 kg of ultra-pure powder for the COSINE200 experiment. With our crystal grower installed at CUP, we have successfully grown a low-background crystal using our purification technique for the NaI powder. We have assembled a low-background NaI(Tl) detector. In this article, we report the performance of this ultra-pure NaI(Tl) crystal detector produced at IBS, Korea.

We study a two-component dark matter model consisting of a Dirac fermion and a complex scalar charged under new U(1) gauge group in the hidden sector. The dark fermion plays the dominant component of dark matter which explains the measured DM relic density of the Universe. It has no direct coupling to ordinary standard model particles, thus evading strong constraints from the direct DM detection experiments. The dark fermion is self-interacting through the light dark gauge boson and it would be possible to address that this model can be a resolution to the small scale structure problem of the Universe. The light dark gauge boson, which interacts with the standard model sector, is also stable and composes the subdominant DM component. We investigate the model parameter space allowed by current experimental constraints and phenomenological bounds. We discuss vacuum structure and vacuum stability in classically scale-invariant renormalizable models with a scalar dark matter multiplet of global O(N) symmetry together with an electroweak singlet scalar mediator. Our conformally invariant scalar potential generates the electroweak symmetry breaking via the Coleman-Weinberg mechanism, and the new scalar singlet mediator acquires its mass through radiative corrections of the scalar dark matters as well as of the standard model particles. Taking into account the present collider bounds, we find the region of parameter space where the scalar potential is stable and all the massless couplings are perturbative up to the Planck scale. With the obtained parameter sets satisfying the vacuum stability condition, we present the allowed region of new physics parameters satisfying the recent measurement of relic abundance, and predict the elastic scattering cross section of the new scalar multiplet into target nuclei for a direct detection of the dark matter. Decarbonisation of the power sector requires feasible strategies for rapid phase-out of fossil fuels and expansion of low-carbon sources. This study develops and uses a model with an explicit account of power plant stocks to explore plausible decarbonization scenarios of the power sector in the Republic of Korea through 2050 and 2060. The results show that achieving zero emissions from the power sector by the mid-century requires either ambitious expansion of renewables backed by gas-fired generation equipped with carbon capture and storage or significant expansion of nuclear power. The first strategy implies replicating and maintaining for decades maximum growth rates of solar power achieved in leading countries and becoming an early and ambitious adopter of the CCS technology. The alternative expansion of nuclear power has historical precedents in Korea and other countries but may not be acceptable in the current political and regulatory environment.
