Coopetition is a revolutionary mindset, which combines competition and cooperation. It is based on the principles of the game theory and the belief that "You can't do it alone". It is a reflection of interdependence between competing organizations. It is generally agreed that most organizations are competing in a red ocean. Kim and Mauborgne, suggested another strategy called "Blue Ocean Strategy" which aims to escape from bloody competition and develop a new market by value innovation. Coopetition is one of the blue ocean strategies, which help to create uncontested market space and make competition irrelevant. This paper aims to explore the current situation of coopetition in Hong Kong.
