Abstract

Chapter 7 of the book "Monetary Transmission in Hungary" is presented. It estimates the dynamic effect of Hungarian monetary policy on output and consumer prices using the structural value added resellers (SVAR) framework. It mentions that the standard SVAR approach involves identifying monetary policy shocks and quantifying their consequences. It says that it is more feasible to estimate the effect of Hungarian monetary policy on data starting in 1995.
