With the digital technology, the traditional display method is changing to the digital display method. This article is precisely launches the research under such background. First, we summarize the researches of the display methods of scientific exhibits in recent years. On the basis, we propose a display way of scientific exhibits based on mind mapping technique and augmented reality technology. And we also expound the implementation steps of the display way. Based on the discussion of traditional hand gesture recognition methods and their properties in current studies, analysis the color segmentation, density distribution feature and improved algorithm based on artificial markers in the hand gesture recognition. Then optimize and assembly this series of algorithms, and presented the hand gesture recognition method based on rotation invariance. This method overcomes the shortcomings that the single color models could not recognition complexion-liked area accurately. And this method can realize the multi-angle or posture changing hand gesture recognition in natural state. Using OpenCV which is pragmatic image processing software to design and realize the hand gesture recognition, and present the test results. According to the needs of model-based assembly in virtual experiments, at the base of making full use of Cult3D, applying Java to expand the function of Cult3D was proposed to realize the interactive model assembly in virtual experiment. The paper analyses the mode of collision detection in procedure of assembling models in virtual experiment, the correspondence between Java and Cult3D and the application of Java multithreading in virtual assembly, which are key technologies for virtual laboratory.
