The optimization model generally assumes complete data is known. But in reality, a lot of data is not known for certain. This uncertainty problem can be solved by several approaches, one of which is robust optimization. Uncertainty parameters in optimizing robust are solved by using the set of uncertainties. However, the set of uncertainties yields less conservative results to be applied to the data as a whole. With the abundance of data in recent years, the determination of the set of uncertainties can be done based on data, this method is called DataDriven Robust Optimization (DDRO). Robust optimization based on data with a machine learning approach presents new challenges. Productivity is a crucial indicator to present the performance and profit of a company. As productivity is a compulsory criterion that concerns companies, there are plenty of methods currently to calculate and measure the productivity in the industry. Evolution of cooperative behavior has been examined in many studies on the IPD (Iterated Prisoner's Dilemma) game under various conditions. In some studies, each agent is allowed to play against itself. However, this setting is somewhat strange because we do not play any real-world games against ourselves. In this paper, we examine the effect of this somewhat strange setting on the evolution of cooperative behavior in a spatial IPD game. Two cases are compared with each other: Each agent is allowed to play against itself in one case and not allowed to do so in the other case. It is shown through computational experiments that similar results are obtained from these two cases when opponents of each agent are selected from a large number of its neighbors. However, the difference between the two cases is large when the number of neighbors is small. Actually the evolution of cooperative behavior is strongly facilitated by allowing each agent to play against itself when the number of neighbors is small. Our computational experiments are performed on a spatial IPD game with various specifications of the neighborhood size where binary and real number strings are used as game strategies. This paper deals with Henig proper efficiency in vector optimization involving generalized cone-preinvex set-valued mapping. An important property of generalized cone-preinvex set-valued map is derived. This paper describes the input dependent clock jitter in high speed and high resolution ADCs with a different approach as compared to previous works. There is always a capacitive coupling between the input and the clock signal paths through which the input voltage variation influences the clock and consequently produces jitter even if the sample and hold is assumed ideal and the clock itself is jitter-free. This phenomenon has been analyzed mathematically and then evaluated by simulations. Also the effect of the jitter on the output data has been explained. In this paper, a modified version of precise intermodulation technique is presented with detailed mathematical analysis. The modified technique can reduce the computational growth of the original technique by 25–50% while obtaining the same results. Non-Hamiltonian graph is featured by the degree sequence that fails to meet the Chvátal condition. By analyzing this feature, a new function of the edge bound for non-Hamiltonian graph is proposed in this paper. The maximum number of edges in maximal non-Hamiltonian graph is derived from this function with mathematical analysis for extreme values, which not only implies the characters of maximal non-Hamilton graph, but also improves the Erdös condition with a better threshold. In this paper, bandwidth acquisition and allocation problem of a telecommunications Bandwidth Broker (BB) is analyzed under uncertain end-user capacity requests. Furthermore, related objective function coefficients such as revenue and costs are modeled as fuzzy numbers in order to cope with vague market conditions. By using fuzzy mathematical programming solution approach suggested by Zhang et al. (2003) deterministic equivalent of single objective profit maximization problem of BB is obtained. Two performance statistics namely fuzzy EVPI and fuzzy VSS are defined to demostrate the efficiency of proposed methodology compared to deterministic approach. Numerical experiments showed that fuzzy stochastic method provides approximately over 10% more profit depending upon problem size in comparison with deterministic strategy. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper is devoted to the consideration of possible solution for the analysis of stress-strain state of anisotropic massif containing the deep located diagonal mines of arbitrary profile under the propagation of elastic longitudinal and shift waves. The special case of generalized plane deformation is considered at this paper to get solutions for different located mines (drifts, crosscuts and diagonal mines). Mathematical analysis has been introduced into the analysis and decision of commercial bank outlets, by which ten index of influencing factors are selected to establish the analysis of outlets distribution and decision-making model; Hengshui Branch of Chinese Construction Bank in Hebei is taken as a sample, in which the factor analysis and cluster analysis are employed for the research and analysis, therefore, a breakthrough has been achieved in the thought of commercial banks and approaches of analysis and decision-making. The research in the paper shows that the mathematical analysis can completely provide scientific data for the distribution of commercial bank outlets; the division will provide evidence for analysis and decision-making of commercial bank, such as marking factor, competitive factor, geography factor and economic factor, which has provided scientific methods and evidence for the optimized resource distribution of commercial banks. In this paper, five binary similarity and distance measures are picked based on their usage in the biomedical field. The measures are applied on seven ontology records to evaluate the usage accuracy of relationships part_of and located_in. The accuracy is checked against the definition found on the online medical dictionary provided by the U.S. National Library of Medicine. Each measure is applied on each ontology records. In spite of many researches in literature investigating dynamic of cell formation (CF) problem, further research needs to be elaborated to assay hidden aspects of cellular manufacturing system (CMS), due to inherent complexity and uncertainty on optimizing this problem. In this paper, sensitivity analysis of modified self-adaptive differential evolution (MSDE) algorithm is proposed for basic parameters of CF problem, considering to the graphical representation supported by statistical analysis. Hence, a dynamic integer model of CF problem is first presented as the NP-hard problem. Then, the two basic test CF problems are introduced thereby the performance of MSDE algorithm assessed by diverse problems sizes through 140 runs from aspects of the average runtime of algorithm and the best local optimum objective function. Finally, statistical analysis is implemented on behavior of objective function values in order to validate our computational results graphically as well as statistically, giving some insights related to importance of CF parameters on designing CMS. This is an attempt to simulate the concept of average access time of the memory system by using some analog devices (operational amplifiers) whose behaviour is similar to the mathematical operations e.g. summation, integration, differentiation, scaling etc. We can calculate the average access time with this analog method with high speed and high degree of versatality. This paper evaluates the three most common parameters of the Memory system i.e access time of the RAM, access time of Cache memory and the Cache hit ratio. Basically, the voltages in the high-gain dc amplifiers are equated to these three variables and the operational amplifiers can do the mathematical operations on the voltages, athough the accuracy of measuring voltage is limited to certain point. A mathematical analysis is executed with respect to an end-of-period clearance pricing for daily perishable products. In case that supplied products will not be sold out by the end-of-period, the sales floor manager sometimes sells the products at a discount price in order to increase the revenue of the period. At a same time, the reference price of consumers for the products is consequently declined and some consumers would not purchase the products at a regular sales price in the following periods. It is important for the manager to take the reference price effect into account so as to improve long-term profit. This paper formulates the end-of-period inventory clearance problem for a single period with stochastic variations both on demand and on the inventory level at the end-of-period. The expected profit function depends on the consumer's response against the sales price. A procedure is proposed to derive an optimal clearance price when consumers are loss-neutral. A sufficient condition is shown to simplify a similar procedure to obtain an optimal price for loss-averse and loss-seeking consumers. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The formal study of class of functional and procedure-oriented programming languages is well-defined and uses λ-calculus as the main tool. With the advent of object calculi, the formal study of object-oriented programming languages is also well developed and understood. Since the paradigm of aspect-oriented programming is new, formal theory for the same is under development. The proposed untyped aspect calculus provides direct support for aspects and other construct of aspect-oriented programming languages however without considering typing information. We propose here the simple-typed aspect calculus - a type system for the aspect calculus. The proposed simple-typed aspect calculus includes typing rules for all the terms of untyped calculus and the same are discussed in the paper. The theorem of type soundness along with its proof for the aspect calculus is also derived and discussed here. The proof is based on method of induction and states that reduction rules defined in the operational semantics of untyped aspect calculus is consistent with the type system of simple-typed aspect calculus. An improved particle swarm optimizer with inertia weight (PSOIWα) was applied to multi-objective optimization (MOO). In this paper we present a method of multiple particle swarm optimizers with inertia weight (MPSOIWα), which belongs to a kind of the methods of cooperative particle swarm optimization. The crucial idea of the MPSOIWα, here, is to reinforce the search ability of the PSOIWα by the union's power of plural swarms. To demonstrate its effectiveness and search performance, computer experiments on a suite of 2-objective optimization problems are carried out by a weighted sum method. The resulting Pareto-optimal solution distributions corresponding to each given problem indicate that the linear weighted aggregation among the adopted three kinds of dynamically weighted aggregations is the most suitable for ac- quiring better search results. Throughout quantitative analysis to experimental data, we clarify the search characteristics and performance effect of the MPSOIWα contrast with that of the PSOIWα and MPSOIW. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this paper a study was carried out to analyze the effects of machining parameters(current, pulse-on time and voltage) on the Material Removal Rate (MRR) and Stability factor of the process (Sf).The results of analysis of variance (ANOVA) indicate that the proposed mathematical models, can adequately describe the performance of the process within the range of the factors being studied. Additionally, a novel methodology for detecting and mathematical prediction- modeling of abnormal pulse shapes has been developed, which increases process stability, dramatically. Analyzed results indicated that peak current and voltage are the most significant parameters for MRR and Stability factor (Sf) respectively. Experimental results and the predictions based on the developed models further revealed that there is a substantial interaction between current and voltage in terms of MRR. We first present a brief review of the essentials fuzzy system models: Namely (1) Zadeh's rulebase model, (2) Takagi and Sugeno's model which is partly a rule base and partly a regression function and (3) Türkşen fuzzy regression functions where a fuzzy regression function correspond to each fuzzy rule. Next we review the well known FCM algorithm which lets one to extract Type 1 membership values from a given data set for the development of Type 1 fuzzy system models as a foundation for the development of Full Type 2 fuzzy system models. For this purpose, we provide an algorithm which lets one to generate Full Type 2 membership value distributions for a development of second order fuzzy system models with our proposed second order data analysis. If required one can generate Full Type 3. Full Type n fuzzy system models with an iterative execution of our algorithm. The article analyzes soccer offensive sequence by proposing a new method. The method is based on goal progression velocity (GPV) and goal progression indicator (GPI). In this way, the method permits the analyses of the influence of each action to attack velocity and goal progression, as well as the average attack speed. Through this method, offensive sequences can be analyzed in terms of the progression to the goal and attack velocity.
