This paper explores the complex relationship between psychological reactance and individuals' willingness to engage in pro-environmental behaviours (WEPEB). The study draws upon the Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB) and Agency theory to investigate how psychological reactance impacts subjective agency factors such as subjective personal norms and green identity differently from individual agency factors such as personal causal contribution and climate change distress, as they can differentially influence individuals' commitment to ethical and environmentally friendly practices. This quantitative study collected data from 3,915 individuals in Australia. The study reveals the duality nature of psychological reactance as moderator, reflecting as suppressor for subjective personal norms and green identity on WEPEBs and enabler for personal causal contribution and climate change distress. By recognizing the nuanced interplay between reactance and various factors, our study is important for organizations and policymakers to develop more effective strategies for promoting ethical and environmentally responsible practices. This research delves into the complex landscape of Australian perceptions and attitudes toward climate actions, emphasizing the varying perspectives among the population. The study encompassing an extension of the Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB) to examine the influence of climate change risk perception, climate change concern, knowledge about climate change, willingness to engage in pro-environmental behaviour, on lifestyle changes. This quantitative study collected data from 3605 individuals in Australia. The theoretical contributions are twofold, to the domain of climate change lifestyle, a groundbreaking application of the TPB to explore psychological determinants of sustainable lifestyle choices. The study also introduces the willingness to engage in pro-environmental behaviour as a mediator, forging novel connections between cognitive factors such as risk perception, concern, and knowledge, and their translation into tangible lifestyle changes in response to climate change. Practically, the study underscores the significance of fostering willingness as a catalyst for broader climate change lifestyle changes, and thus, offers valuable insights for interventions and campaigns aimed at promoting sustainable living. This paper attempts to critically analyze the media coverage on a possible war with Iraq, proposed by US President George W. Bush in September 2002. To analyze the issue as an international issue, this paper first extensively reviews various salient characteristics of international issues, their media coverage, and public perception. They include the structural limitations of news gathering, various "distances" or "borderlands" emphasized or deemphasized in international news, and construction of social sentiment. Based on this review, the latter half of the paper quantitatively and qualitatively analyzes U.S. media coverage on the Iraq issue through three agenda-setting newspapers. The quantitative analysis reveals news stories? reliance on U.S. official sources, while relatively marginalizing Iraqi sources, although Iraq would be the most affected location concerned. The qualitative analysis shows how various "distances" and "human agencies" are discursively and linguistically emphasized or deemphasized; thus showing support for the U.S. position on the issue. According to the transaction cost and resource-based view theory, the success of an interorganizational collaboration is explained by the alignment of the governance structure selected to coordinate initiatives, the task being transacted and the competencies required to deliver on the task and to govern the interorganizational collaboration. We argue that interorganizational collaboration while popular among for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, the presence of powerful collaborating organizations forces the focal organization to adopt best practices and governance structures that could prove costly in the long run. Powerful collaborating organizations could create a misalignment in task, governance structure and the organization's competencies. These findings were revealed based on an in-depth case study (more than 50 in- depth interviews with professionals representing more than 30 national and international organizations) of the condom social marketing campaign adopted by the Government of India in its fight against HIV/AIDS. Our analysis indicates that the misalignment could be attributed to the institutional pressures of powerful stakeholders who (a) induced the focal organization to define the transaction according to the HIV/AIDS practices and strategy of the dominant World Health Organization and (b) suggested a governance structure welcoming the participation of local and regional stakeholders even though the Government of India did not have the proper governance competencies to maintain alignment. Consequently, although we observed some degree of effectiveness, we also discovered inefficient interorganizational relationships resulting from opportunistic behaviors among partner organizations.
