Abstract

We developed a scale of champion strength, the degree to which individuals promote innovations, using the act frequency method. The scale was validated by studying 43 champions of radical product innovations. Results revealed that champion strength was positively related to self-monitoring, frequency of influence attempts, resource availability and innovation success. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
