Rehabilitation is essential in the road of recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, but rehabilitation is not always done in a monitored environment. Sometimes rehabilitations are done in homes, which is normally unmonitored, which would reduce the effectiveness of rehabilitation, as the effectiveness relies heavily on the adherence level of each individual. Therefore, the proposed system uses a microcontroller that is easily attachable to an existing Theraband Resistance band, to help monitor home rehabilitation. The system uses a FlexiForce A201 force sensor, to detect the force being applied to the resistance band, and the force will be displayed on the Blynk dashboard. The progress of the patient can be tracked through the dashboard as well. Besides, the system features a target load mode, where the physiotherapist can set a target load for the patient to achieve for their Home Exercise Programs (HEP). This study evaluates the long-term patterns of nitrogen and phosphorus in Fei-Tsui Reservoir in Northern Taiwan during the periods of 1986 to 2014. Understanding the temporal and spatial mechanisms of nutrient enrichment is essential to control water quality. Here, we assess the long-term trends of runoff and nutrient concentration (1986–2014). Mann–Kendall trend test (MKT) analysis was used to assess the significance of monotonic trends (increase and/or decrease) in runoff, weather related parameters, and nutrients. We observed that N and P at the reservoir surface water showed increasing trends from 1987 onwards and started to show signs of decrease starting from 2006 until 2014. In term of flux analysis, the N and P showed increments from February to March and decreases in April. Then, the flux increases again from April until August. It can be concluded that higher amount of rainfall influences the amount of nutrients being discharged to a water body via surface runoff. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The process of urbanization with increasing population and development has drastically disrupted the water balance of natural catchment. The variation in hydrological responses due to rainfall and land use changes increases the difficulty on rainfall-runoff modelling. In addition, large uncertainties in rainfall data can be a significant source of error in flood simulation. Thus, the objective of this study is to compare the temporal resolution effects between 15 min and 1- hour rainfall data on hydrological modelling at urban catchment. 15 min and 1-hour resolution rainfall data was collected from eight rainfall stations at Penchala River catchment. The temporal resolution effects of rainfall data on hydrological modelling were assessed by comparing 15 min resolution and 1-hour resolution rainfall data using HEC-HMS model. The modelling results showed that average peak discharge percentage errors for 1-hour rainfall interval is 15.79 %, whereas 4.33% for 15 minutes' rainfall interval. The fine resolution rainfall data has proved that it had improved the performance of hydrological modelling using HEC-HMS model. For model calibration, the mean percentage errors for peak discharge and runoff volume were found to be 4.33% and 20.88%, respectively. Meanwhile, the mean percentage errors for peak discharge and runoff volume for model validation were found to be 16.25% and 16.51%, respectively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
