This project uses content analysis to examine eight oral contraceptive websites. In particular, we examined the motivational cues the brands used to market their product. The benefits of the product were the most likely motivational cue used. However, brands also used enhanced freedom/choice/personal control, commonality of the condition and of complaints regarding menstruation, enhanced intelligence, and enhanced physical appearance or attractiveness.
