The relocation of the National Capital City from DKI Jakarta to East Kalimantan has positively and negatively impacted the people of East Kalimantan. The East Kalimantan government needs to prepare for the relocation of the nation's capital. One aspect that can be prepared is human resources in East Kalimantan. Hence this research, research was carried out related to the grouping of districts/cities in East Kalimantan based on variables associated with HDI. The grouping methods used are hierarchical and non-hierarchical. The cluster performance evaluation used is the Silhouette, Dunn Index, and Davies Bouldin Index. Based on the cluster performance review, dividing districts/cities in East Kalimantan into four clusters is best. The first group consists of Paser Regency and North Penajam Paser Distric. The second group comprises West Kutai Regency, Kutai Kertanegara Regency, and Berau Regency. The third group includes East Kutai, Mahakam Ulu, Balikpapan, and Bontang. For the last twenty years, the field of library and information science (LIS) has been evolving within the context of iSchools. Now, organizationally melded with other information fields, LIS is better positioned than ever to synergize expertise across disciplines to benefit librarianship. However, the recent LIS Forward position paper asserts that dynamics are changing within iSchools in ways that can strengthen or diminish LIS, surfacing critical tensions and issuing recommendations for the iSchool community. This panel assembles thought leaders to share new perspectives on the provocations of the position paper and to further advance the conversation with the ASIS&T community. The group will consider themes of diversification, competition, and identity and explore two urgent professional concerns—Black librarianship and AI. This research aims to describe the implementation of the independent curriculum in high schools and universities in DKI Jakarta. This research uses descriptive method and conducted in five high schools and two universities in DKI Jakarta. The population in this study were 11 biology teachers in high schools, and 11 lecturers at universities. The sampling technique was carried out through purposive sampling. The sample chosen in this study was in accordance with the willingness of respondents based on the population, namely 5 biology teachers in five high schools and 11 lecturers in two universities in Jakarta. The instruments used questionnaires with indicators for implementing independent curriculum, 21st century skills, local wisdom and ethnoscience, implementing learning strategies, and project-based learning. The data analysis technique uses the Guttman scale and narrative approach and is assisted by the SPSS 21 application. The research results show that teachers and lecturers have implemented the independent curriculum in learning, but still have not implemented it. In general, teachers and lecturers have used the project-based learning model (PjBL). However, the PjBL model is not always used in learning, and lecturers still encounter obstacles in implementing project-based learning. This is also shown in project work, which takes a long time. teachers and lecturers have never applied local Betawi wisdom in lectures, and some of them find it difficult to develop 21st century skills. So, it can be concluded that teachers and lecturers understanding regarding curriculum changes are good; it's just that the integration of local wisdom in teacher and lecturer learning is still not able to integrate it. Biology learning cannot be separated from the environmental context, including local wisdom. The Malangge tradition is an activity for residents who do not have durian trees or people who pass by in the area, gather, are free to enjoy the durians in the community residents who have durian. The purpose of this study is to analyze and reconstruct scientific knowledge from the Malangge tradition. This study uses an ethnoscience-based qualitative approach with interview and observation methods. Durian that falls from the tree tastes sweeter than durian that has been ripened/picked from the tree because it has undergone fermentation. This is related to local wisdom in learning biology. Flood events have caught people's attention in many countries since their growth trend in recent years. Notably, in Balikpapan, the flood becomes a significant concern in disaster mitigation, especially in Balikpapan's role as a Buffer Zone for the New Capital City of Indonesia. Forecasting flood occurrence is necessary because it will give the government or other stakeholder additional information to create appropriate policies to decrease the risk. This research will examine the impact of weather parameters, namely, rainfall, number of rainy days, and sunlight intensity on flood cases using the Generalized Linear Model (GLM) approach. The data is obtained from Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) of Balikpapan from 2019-2022. This study compares the performance of several models, namely, Poisson regression, Negative Binomial regression, Zero-Inflated Poisson regression (ZIP), and Zero-Inflated Negative Binomial regression (ZINB). According to the Akaike Information Criterion (AIC), ZINB is found to be most suitable for this data. Sweet corn (Zea mays L.) is a tropical plant. Sweet corn is more expensive than regular corn. The continuous use of chemical fertilizers has an impact on poor soil quality. Vermicompost with the addition of Trichoderma sp. is an alternative to improve soil quality and prevent sweet corn plant diseases. Research Objectives 1. Test the potency of vermicompost with the addition of Trichoderma sp. 2. Determining the optimum dose of vermicompost with the addition of Trichoderma sp. This research was conducted at the Lampung State Polytechnic. Research locations include analysis laboratories, factory I laboratories and land POF. The time of the study was March 2022 to June 2022. The study used RAK with 3 replications, consisting of a treatment with vermicompost and 1 treatment (without vermicompost and Trichoderma sp). So that with 3 replications and 7 treatments, there were 21 experimental units (trial units). Each experimental unit consisted of 1 plant and all plants became the object of observation. Stem diameter, plant height, cob weight with husk, cob weight without husk, brix had a significant effect between treatments, while number of leaves, leaf length, intensity of downy mildew and leaf rust disease had no significant effect between treatments. Sweet orange peel has a strong potential to be used as a biofuel to substitute for conventional fuels. However, it contains polar and nonpolar compounds such as limonene and eugenol, which have different polarities, molecular structures, and physical characteristics. These differences affect fuel reactivity at low temperatures. Therefore, this study was conducted to understand the role of different polarities of additives in enhancing the research octane number (RON) and hydrocarbon stability of the fuel blends. The research was conducted using molecular modelling simulation software and experiments. The simulation was carried out using HyperChem software 8.0 to calculate the hydrocarbon stability of the fuel blend through the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) energy gap analysis and the orbital and binding energy analysis. Meanwhile, the experiments were carried out by varying the concentration of additives (1%–80% (v/v)) to measure the RON and the formation of new hydrocarbons through gas chromatography and mass spectrometry (GC-MS). HOMO LUMO analysis showed that new hydrocarbons in fuel blends added with limonene have a higher energy gap than fuel added with eugenol. Eugenol increased the RON of n-heptane from 0 to 92.7 and peaked in the formulation of 80%. Meanwhile, limonene increased the RON of n-heptane from 0 to 91.5 (exceeding the original RON of limonene), reaching the peak at 50% formulation addition. The increase was due to the different polarities of additives, which caused a change in the fuel blend's molecular structure and hydrocarbon stability. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Ship material technology needs lightweight and strong enough material, where one of the solutions is a sandwich material. Sandwich material combines two or more materials consisting of a faceplate and a core. The faceplate and core materials often used for sandwich materials are steel plates and polyurethane elastomer (PU). However, the high price has made some researchers look for alternative materials to replace PU as the core material. One of the potential materials is fiberglass-reinforced polyurethane elastomer which in this study will be applied numerically using Finite Element Method as a sandwich material on tanker decks. The proposed sandwich material has remarkable potential to be used as a tanker deck with a significant advantage, including 16% or 9.9 tons lighter structure weight, 27% lower stress, and 62% lower deformation compared to conventional deck structures. The weight reduction of 9.9 tons equates to an increase in payload of 9.9 tons, so the reduced weight of the structure can allow tankers to operate economically. Thus, the sandwich material allows for a stronger and lighter deck structure, resulting in a larger tanker payload and economical ships operation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In the field of plant sciences, the tree's biophysical is understood as the natural characteristics of the plant during its growth. Moreover, it influences many biogeographical factors, including climatic, geographic, and edaphic. This study put considerable attention to the use of the aerial photograph in estimating the particular tree biophysical, such as tree canopy, height, and diameter, by optimising the standard band of an aerial photograph, namely the red, green, and blue (RGB) band, and enhanced by the green ratio index. This study aims to estimate the biophysical parameters of Terminalia catappa L., including tree diameter, canopy, and height, using the statistical analysis of linear regression. The result may compare both GRI and RGB bands of aerial photograph capability. These data are used together with the actual tree biophysical parameters previously collected from a field survey, including the diameter breast height (DBH), tree height, and canopy measurement of Terminalia catappa L. This study resulted in the green band as the most suitable dependent variable, followed by the red band and GRI to retrieve the Terminalia catappa L. tree biophysical parameters. Its robust technique offered the best accuracy for DBH and canopy at 5.89 meters square and 0.08 meters, respectively. While the GRI came as the reasonable variable to detect the tree height.
