This paper introduces a new textile-based hybrid PV/T system utilizing a spacer fabric treated with phase change material (PCM). The PCM absorbs excess heat from the PV modules, which keeps the modules in their optimal temperature range so that their power output is enhanced. The thermal energy stored in the PCM is then used for hot water generation. Cold water, which is pumped through thin capillaries integrated into the spacer fabric, absorbs the heat stored in the PCM and is warmed. The warm water can be used immediately or stored in an intermediate storage tank. Comparing the proposed textile-based hybrid PV/T system to conventional hybrid PV/T systems, the proposed system is less expensive and provides a higher overall efficiency. The textile-based collector is lightweight, thin and flexible. The collector fits any roof shape and can be applied to roofs of residential and commercial buildings. A new method to simulate radar and coherent backscattering within the framework of the 3D Monte Carlo radiative transfer model MYSTIC has been developed. Simulating radar is solved with the help of the already existing lidar simulator. SNIK, a medical informatics ontology, combines knowledge from different literature sources dealing with the management of hospital information systems (HIS). Concepts and relations were extracted from literature, modeled as an ontology and visualized as a graph on a website. We demonstrate the potential of the graph visualization for tuitional scenarios. SNIK complements teaching and learning with conventional literature by concentrating knowledge that is scattered over different pieces of text around one node of a graph. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Given a care delivery organization, its health information system can be defined as the part of the organization that processes and stores data, information, and knowledge. There is an enormous number of frameworks, textbooks and articles that describe the scope of health information system management from the perspective of medical informatics. Transforming this knowledge to Linked Open Data results in a structured data representation that is accessible for both humans and machines, the Semantic Network of Information Management in Hospitals (SNIK).
