Male erectile dysfunction is a scary condition. Diabetes mellitus is one of the reasons for erectile dysfunction. In the current day, finding plant-based herbal remedies has taken precedence. Because it has been shown to have fewer negative effects than chemical medications, this is highly sought-after. Mangrove plants can be used to make aphrodisiacs or libido enhancers for erectile dysfunction sufferers. The purpose of this study is to investigate the contents of mangrove plants, including Acanthus ilicifolius, Avicenna marina, and Avicennia officinalis, that contain potent aphrodisiac chemicals. Technique applied This study employs a qualitative technique based on library observation, wherein domestic and foreign publications and reviews from 2001 to 2022 are gathered using electronic data. The literature review's findings indicate that because this species has alkaloids, flavonoids, and saponins, it may include bioactive substances that stimulate libido. Nearly every portion of the plant, including the leaves, fruit, skin, stems, and roots, contains this substance. More investigation is required to identify natural herbal plants so that the benefits of aphrodisiacs, ideal formulations, and superior processing techniques can be studied in more detail.
