Honey is a natural food product used for nutritional, as well as medical purposes since ancient times. This work intended to analyze the use of honey in gastronomy. For that purpose, there were analyzed 150 recipes that included honey as an ingredient. The recipes were classified according to different criteria, namely the dish type, confection method, type of ingredient and the moment that honey was incorporated into the recipe. The results showed that the main dishes with meat and also bakery products were the ones that included more recipes with honey. The majority of the recipes involved cooking methods, with more relevance for roasting, grilling and baking. Moreover, honey was essentially used as a secondary ingredient, except for deserts and it was mostly incorporated in the beginning. The most relevant nutrients that were combined with honey were flour, bread, onion, salmon, chicken, butter, cheese, egg, milk, lemon, pepper, garlic, olive oil, sugar and salt. As many people will refer to a recipe when cooking, there are several recipe-sharing websites that include lots of recipes and make recipes easier to access than before. However, there is often the case that we could not get all the ingredients listed on the recipe. Prior research on alternative ingredient substitution has built a recommendation system considering the suitability of a recommended ingredient with the remained ingredients. In this paper, in addition to suitability, we also take the diversity of the ingredient categories and the novelty of new combination of ingredients into account. Besides, we combine suitability with novelty as an index, to see whether our method could help find out a new combination of ingredients that is possibly to be a new dish. The authors described a new approach to calculation of gasoline blending process taking into account the reaction interaction of blend components. The mathematical models of gasoline compounding process was developed taking into account the intensity of intermolecular interactions of mixture components and the interaction mechanism of antiknock additives with hydrocarbons. This study examines influences on quality of life of national cultures as complex wholes and entrepreneurship activities in 28 nations. The study tests McClelland's (1961) and more recent scholars' proposition that some cultural recipes nurture entrepreneur startups while other cultures are biased toward thwarting startups. The study applies complexity theory to construct and empirically test a general theory of cultures', entrepreneurship's, and innovation's impact on quality of life across nations. Because culture represents a complex whole of attitudes, beliefs, values, and behavior, the study applies a set-theoretic approach to theory construction and testing of alternative cultural recipes. Each of 28 nations is scored for the level of the national cultures for each of six focal countries. The findings include presenting the complex x (national cultural recipe) with y (entrepreneur nurture/thwart) plots of the 28 nations for the six focal nations. The findings include recognizing national cultures (Switzerland, USA) nurturing entrepreneurial behavior versus other national cultures thwarting (Brazil and India) entrepreneurial behavior. Entrepreneur strategy implications follow from the findings including the observation that actions nurturing firm start-ups by nations low in entrepreneurship will unlikely to be successful without reducing such nations' high levels of corruption.
