Understanding abnormal tissues' architecture at the early stages of cancer is a very challenging task. Nowadays, the gold standard for tumors diagnosis is a biopsy, usually obtained inserting a needle in the tissue with the suspected pathology. Processing and obtaining results from pathology images may take days, and the results depend on the pathologist's expertise. In this study, our goal is to obtain information on cancerous tissue architecture applying Persistence Barcode topology to imaging data obtained during biopsies. This study shows a novel method to obtain valuable information for medical interventional devices (MIDs) guidance and tissue/device interactions for further analysis and evaluation. Hazardous mycotoxins such as Ochratoxin A (OTA) can cause negative impacts on both human and animal health and may lead to chronic diseases. Therefore, detection of OTA is important to reduce foodborne disease occurrence. The conventional methods for detection of Ochratoxins has some drawbacks such as time-consuming procedure, high cost and sophisticated equipment. Currently, biosensor with the integration of nanomaterials has becomes a promising tool to overcome the limitations of the previous methods and Graphene is broadly explored due to its high electrical conductivity, expansive surface region and has unique heterogeneous electron transfer rate. Herein, the Water based Graphene paste which is free from harmful organic solvents with good conductivity, and good adhesion with Screen Printed Electrode (SPE) was prepared for Ochratoxin A biosensor. The graphene film is then coated with chemical linkers and biorecognition element. The performance of the stepwise modification of the bioelectrodes was carried out by using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. Fourier-transform infrared peak shifts clearly shows the successful functionalization of the graphene film. A linear increment trend is observed as the Rct value rises in response to interactions with increasing concentrations of OTA mycotoxin ranging from 1 fg ml−1 to 1 ng ml−1. Industry 4.0 technologies are applied in creation of smart cities, smart factories, smart machines, smart products, smart services, predictive maintenance, unmanned vehicles, drones, smart warehousing, collaborative robots etc. The use of Industry 4.0 technologies facilitates fast and better living, efficient services, self-adjusting machines, high level automation in the industries with or without human intervention especially in hazardous environments. Combination of the highly ordered monolayers to form the multilayer interconnected graphene is essential to produce robust and free standing graphene unlike its counterpart 2D monolayers. Here, chemical vapor deposition (CVD) technique is employed to produce highly flexible and high mobility 3D graphene. In this study, the 3D graphene is grown via direct carbon deposition on sacrificial template. With the use of polymer coating such as poly methyl methacrylate (PMMA), it is observed that the graphene is bendable without any degradation. The output power from a solar panel depends on the amount of sunlight that is intercepted by the photovoltaic (PV) solar panel. The value of solar irradiance varies due to the change of position of sun and the local meteorological conditions. This causes the output power of a PV based solar electricity generating system (SEGS) to fluctuate as well. In this paper, the focus is on the integration of solar tracking system with performance analyzer system through the development of an algorithm for optimizing the performance of SEGS. The proposed algorithm displays realtime processed data that would enable users to understand the trend of the SEGS output for maintenance prediction and optimization purposes. In this paper, the atmospheric pressure chemical vapor deposition (AP-CVD) is used to synthesize graphene on a copper substrate by utilizing methane as a precursor and N-doped graphene (NDG) in the presence of ammonia. The performance of pure titanium dioxide (TiO2), TiO2/graphene, and TiO2/NDG as photoanodes in dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) were compared. Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) showed flakes of few layers with an interrupted layer in both graphene and NDG. DSSC consist of TiO2/NDG photoanode exhibits a better enhancement due to the high conductivity of donor N in graphene which enhances the electron transportation across nanoporous TiO2. Dye sensitized solar cells (DSSC) are the new generation of solar cells that have their advantages such as transparency, flexibility and low cost production. This has certainly attracted researchers in the field of green technology to further develop DSSC. The focus is on the efficiency, as it is low at this point of time, as compared to silicon based solar cells. In this paper, the effect of TiCl4 treatment on the efficiency of DSSC by treating the conducting glass and TiO2 layer was studied and results showed that the TiCl4 treatment on the conducting glass and the printed TiO2 film increased the efficiency from 3.45% to 4.43%. The TiO2 layer was characterized by using FESEM and AFM and the efficiency of the DSSC was measured by using the sunlight simulator. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper studies the use of several type of curve fitting method to smooth the global solar radiation data. After the data have been fitted by using curve fitting method, the mathematical model of global solar radiation will be developed. The error measurement was calculated by using goodness-fit statistics such as root mean square error (RMSE) and the value of R². The best fitting methods will be used as a starting point for the construction of mathematical modeling of solar radiation received in Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) Malaysia. Under the10th Malaysian Plan, the government is expecting the renewable energy to contribute approximately 5.5% to the total electricity generation by the year 2015, which amounts to 98MW. One of the initiatives to ensure that the target is achievable was to establish the Sustainable Energy Development Authority of Malaysia. SEDA is given the authority to administer and manage the implementation of the feed-in tariff (FiT) mechanism which is mandated under the Renewable Energy Act 2011. The move to establish SEDA is commendable and the FiT seems to be attractive but there is a need to create awareness on the implementation of the solar electricity generating system (SEGS). In Malaysia, harnessing technologies related to solar energy resources have great potential for implementation. However, the main issue that plagues the implementation of SEGS is the intermittent nature of this source of energy. The availability of sunlight is during the day time, and there is a need for electrical energy storage system, so that there is electricity available during the night time as well. The meteorological condition such as clouds, haze and pollution affects the SEGS as well. The PV based SEGS is seems to be promising electricity generating system that can contribute towards achieving the 5.5% target and will be able to minimize the negative effects of utilizing fossil fuels for electricity generation on the environment. Malaysia is committed to Kyoto Protocol, which emphasizes on fighting global warming by achieving stabilization of greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere at a level that would prevent dangerous anthropogenic interference with the climate system.
