UNESCO-UNEVOC and UNESCO Regional Bureau, Beirut, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Lebanon (General Directorate for Vocational and Technical Education, GDVTE, and Center for Educational Research and Development, CERD), organized a three-day Regional Expert Meeting (Beirut, 19-21 November 2013) as a platform for networking and dialogue involving regional UNEVOC centres, TVET institutions, and other relevant stakeholders. It was the last of five regional follow-ups to the Shanghai Consensus on developing and sharing policy and Promising Practices on youth and skills and greening TVET. Attended by 35 TVET experts representing UNEVOC Centres, international, regional and national organizations, the three-day meeting provided participants the opportunity to share their experiences by highlighting success stories on the introduction of entrepreneurship education (EPE) and ICT in TVET in particular. Annexes include: (1) Agenda; (2) List of Participants; and (3) TVET and EPE Initiatives and Projects proposed by Working Groups.

This paper aims to analyse the findings of the building or the construction defects found from the mix-method research through the triangulation technique to maximise its results consistencies. Early on, the methodology approach for the study involved the mix-method option involving the collection of the actual projects' defect data and the structured online questionnaires survey. In this paper, a triangulation method was used to increase the credibility and validity of research findings. The findings revealed a strong correlation between actual defect variables empirical input and the descriptive statistical defect census. The results also show that the defects hypotheses and the actual defects independent and dependent variables versus statistical defect census survey; tabulates on decisive co-relation causation factor between the multiple defect categories. The paper describes, identifies, and proves the critical aspect of building defects contribution factors from actual defects data collection and online census's statistical input. This investigation aims to fabricate a universal phantom that is convenient for testing the conventional l X-rays and fluoroscopy equipment. A prototype of a universal phantom was developed considering the simplicity of handling and minimizing cost. The prototype enclosure and implant medium were used, considering physical characteristics, cost, and machinability. The designed prototype was compared to different commercially available quality control phantoms. In addition, the designed prototype phantom was evaluated by five independent users. It conducted the necessary quality control assessments for general X-ray and fluoroscopy confirmed with the NORMI 13 and NORMI Rad/Flu phantoms, respectively. The findings of the independent validation revealed that the designed phantom is low in cost, easy to transfer, compact, can be set up and used quickly, practical, and convenient. The designed phantom convinces one phantom's general and fluoroscopy X-ray imaging objectives, which is simple to use and fabricate at a relatively low cost. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
