Abstract

The article offers information on the propose amendments by the government of Quebec on tax legislation to address aggressive tax planning (ATP). It states that even though ATP conforms to all tax legislation it does not embrace the fiscal policy which could be also consider as tax avoidance. It says that ATP results to low government revenue. It mentions the amendments which include mandatory disclosure, tax benefit, and changes to General Anti-Avoidance Rule (GAAR).
