The study of singlet oxygen generation in AOT micelles containing Spruce Cone from Picea Abies extract was carried out in visible and near IR spectral range. The microemulsion solution with extract appeared to have absorption peak at ∼300 nm and luminescence peaks within 680÷720 nm wavelength range. Taking into account the experimental data of steady and time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy, the possibility of reactive oxygen forms generation in the microemulsion with the extract has been proved. The energy deactivation rate constants in the contact complex after photoexcitation under triplet states quenching of the extract molecules have been determined. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
