A parallel Multi-Transform Architecture (MTA) for the computation of the 2-D transforms adopted in modern digital video standards is proposed in this paper. This hardware structure can be dynamically configured to efficiently compute either one transform of size N × N, or k different transforms of size N/k × N/k in simultaneous, where N ∊ ℕ and k = 2i with i = 1, ..., log2 N -1. The advantages offered by the proposed parallel architecture were assessed by implementing in a Xilinx Virtex-7 FPGA a proof-of-concept transform core compliant with the High Profiles of the H.264/AVC standard. The obtained results show that such processing structure is capable of achieving real-time operation for video sequences in the 8k Ultra High Definition Television (UHDTV) format (7680 × 4320 @ 30 fps). In addition, these results also demonstrate that the proposed parallel MTA allows to, at least, double both the throughput and the hardware efficiency of the implemented transform cores, when compared to the original design of the architecture. Image fusion is based on a series of methods in order to integrate images from more of one sensor in to one image, more suitable for human eye or computer sequential processing. This article presents few theoretical methods for image fusion. The results of experimental image fusion, using algorithms developed by the research team revealed advantages like increase of spectral domain, and difficulties regarding image fusion process. In this paper, a detailed description and comparision of speckle reduction of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) image using transform is presented. The despeckling method is to reduce the speckle noise in SAR images, provided that the structural features and edges are not lost using Maximum a Posteriori (MAP) estimator based on wavelet and curvelet transform. These transforms are applied to noisy SAR image and respective despeckled images are obtained. Finally these two methods are compared and the performance are verified by quality metric analysis. This paper presents a 30-frames/s H.264 intra encoder for digital video recorder or digital still camera applications. To achieve high throughput and low area cost for high-definition video, we apply the modified three-step fast intra prediction technique to reduce the cycle count while keeping the quality as close as full search. A macro block classification method is proposed for various video processing applications involving moving images. Based on the analysis of the Motion Vector field in the compressed video, we propose to classify Macro blocks of each video frame into different classes and use this class information to describe the frame content. Propagating phase patterns of neural activity in the cortex have been found to serve as useful markers for the identification of neural correlates of cognition. In this work we develop an automatic method to detect phase propagation in the form of cones using adaptive mixture models. In the state of the art hybrid video coding structure, intra prediction and transform coding are the most important two parts for intra picture coding. Generally, the prediction process and the transform process are separated. The current block is first predicted from the neighboring reconstructed pixels, the residue block is then transformed. In our approach, the prediction process and transform process are combined, therefore more information can be used for prediction and more accurate prediction can be achieved. Rapid modeling and model reusing has become an emergent problem to be solved in recent years, due to the sharp increasing popularity of character modeling. In this paper, we propose a combining-based method for rapid modeling the surface of three-dimensional character. We propose the algorithm for extracting the boundary points from the triangle mesh surface according to the characteristics of the OBJ model file. Then, we also propose a simplified mesh model combination algorithm based on the set of boundary points from two models. The result of experiments shows, the algorithm can be automatic combination according to the relative position of the two models, with high efficiency and strong reusability. Improving ETL process system data flows can provide better return on your Business investment. An enterprise level scheduling solution that is easy to use and handles heterogeneous environments may just do what you need. In the past, the focus was mainly on business process design, modeling. Recently, enterprises have realized that they can benefit tremendously from automating the ETL process with the objective of optimizing or improving them. In our research, we address the problem of warehousing, show how to automate the ETL process for pulling data from source to target environment. Typically, the source data consists of event streams that indicate changes in the business process state i.e progression of the process. The idea is to automate ETL process using scripting technologies. This paper is written to give scope in future for coming up with effective ETL tools that support command based automation or script based automation. We throw light on the need for usage of scripting technologies to automate ETL tools processing end to end process which reduce manual headache of running ETL process handling and also lead to development of ETL tools in future that support command based interface. In Mode-Dependent Directional Transform (MDDT), Karhunen¨CLo¨¨ve Transform (KLT) was employed to better compress the directional edges of intra prediction residues. The transform bases of MDDT were derived from the Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) of the intra prediction residues with the diversity of video characteristics. MDDT was mode dependent, but not video content dependent. It was expected to be efficient to most video sequences. However, it did not consider the difference of video content for designing transform basis. In this paper, a video content feature is firstly defined as a concatenation of coefficient magnitude, dominant gradient and spatial activity histograms of residues. Secondly, each KLT basis which is obtained from off-line training is associated with a given feature. Thirdly, a histogram-based feature matching algorithm is proposed to select the best transform basis from the provided multiple candidates for encoding a frame. The experiments show that the average Rate-Distortion (R-D) improvement of 0.65dB PSNR can be achieved by the proposed video Content Dependent Directional Transform (CDDT) compared to the state-of-the-art MDDT for inter frame coding. In this paper, we explore the property of pixel value distortion and present a watermarking scheme robust to this distortion. From the investigation on the noise property of the print-and-scan process, we find that the smooth blocks get less distorted during this process. Watermark embedded in these blocks is probably more robust to the print-and-scan distortion. However, protecting the texture blocks from distortion is also necessary because the watermark extractor within this blind watermarking scheme also uses these texture blocks. For this reason, we design the noise adding operation to compensate the print-and-scan distortion to the texture blocks. In addition, the watermark extractor also affects the whole system performance, so we use the multiple-vote operation to enhance the robustness of water extractor. This paper deals with the behavior of the modulus of the continuous wavelet transform (CWT) for some known mother wavelets like the Morlet wavelet and the Mexican Hat. By exploiting these properties, the models presented can behave as a segmentation/ recognition signal processing tool by modeling the temporal structure of the observed surface ECG.
