Aintainability is the very important property of CNC machine tool in its life cycle. The maintenance of CNC machine tool is quickly and exactly can take important action in extending its using life and ensuring its reliability. Moreover IETM is the important support resource of guiding maintenance, facilitating training and enhancing maintainability. This paper is based on Europe standard S1000D, presenting the IETM design frame of CNC machine tool and design theory of standardization, interoperability and modularization. The paper expands the function of the CNC machine tool, taking advantages of the coordinate motion of the machine. A measurement system, including probe, control box, camera and computer is embed into the CNC machine tool. This makes it possible that the machine tool have measuring function.
