The training in didactics for higher education accounting teachers, as well as the possibilities that arise from this training, are some of the concerns of a PhD study in Education at the University of Aveiro. The aim of this paper is to present the first research phase of the aforementioned study, which aims at analyzing the state of the art of the training in Accounting offered by Portuguese public higher education institutions. Specifically, it aims to identify in the syllabuses of accounting courses: i) which competences are being covered; ii) which teaching, learning and assessment methodologies and which educational resources are being used. It is considered that this phase of research will assist in the collection of guidelines for designing, implementing and evaluating an accounting teacher training program. Preliminary results showed that training has privileged the development of technical competence, using methodologies based on theoreticalpractical classes, where theory is presented in a lecture by the teacher and practice is carried out through the resolution of cases and exercises. Accounting teachers tend to prioritize more traditional assessments, through assignments, tests, exams and examinations. Finally, digital resources are still scarcely mentioned in the syllabus. The research study focuses on the issue of procedures of university students in preparation for schooling. The aim of the work is to map what procedures university students use in preparation for schooling in an effort to clarify aspects, to influence the overall attitude. One of the main parts of the work is the theoretical basis, which clarifies the main determinants and other issues of research studies. The research survey is mediated through qualitative research with elements of quantitative design. The methodological research became an analysis of interviews from 13 students across tertiary education. Based on this survey, the results are interpreted, which are then categorized into four groups. The single strategy provides sources of information, requires related procedures in preparation for schooling. The analysis of the survey showed a whole series of represented procedures, which do not have an identical dependence on the studied field. Students from fields more focused on the theoretical level according to research using a combination of procedures. In this context, the use of procedures in preparation for schooling has a significant degree of motivation and other aspects affect psychic attributes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The pandemic has demonstrated the need for e-learning tools to support Romanian music education. The lack of digital resources in the national language adapted to the Romanian music curriculum made it difficult for students to learn using foreign applications with a different music notation system from Romania's during the online teaching period. In response to this, we created a software tool that supports musical instruction in line with the outcomes expected by the country's school music curricula. This study investigated the effect of the new software on improving learning outcomes and student motivation. The participants were three experimental groups from eight schools. Group A (n = 60 pupils) were required to use the software for six weeks, at least 15 minutes per day, five days a week. This was carried out under teacher supervision in classrooms and under teacher guidance at home. Group B (n = 61 pupils) were asked to use the software once a week for six weeks in their music lessons. Group C (n=10 teachers) lead the application's testing process. Each child was allocated a unique code (to ensure each pupil's anonymity), which enabled the researcher to observe their activity. The average total use per child in Group A was 48 sessions, and for Group B, it was 12 sessions. The results for Group A showed pupils had notably enhanced their learning outcomes. Of the (n=60) pupils, 96% reported feeling 'highly motivated' by the software. The tool's facility for personalised, needs-focused exercises with immediate feedback was identified as particularly helpful. Group B, who used the software occasionally, made slower progress, but 93% reported that the addition of the software was preferable to traditional classroom music education conducted without such individual-focused technology. Out of (n=121) pupils, 94% reported the software was easy to learn and use. Each of the ten teachers who led the testing process reported increased accuracy of the elements practised with the software after six weeks of usage and decided to continue using it. The research includes the digital competences of university teachers, whose objective was to describe the level of digital competences of teachers of the universities of Cusco-Peru in times of Covid-19. The research method was quantitative approach making use of statistical analysis, descriptive scope for which the characteristics of the study unit were identified, of non-experimental design since the research was carried out without deliberate manipulation of the study variable, observing it in its natural and cross-sectional context as it is carried out in a specific time frame. The study population was made up of 2,740 students corresponding to the professional schools of Administration, International Business, Economics, Marketing, Accounting and Administrative Sciences of the universities of Cusco in the virtual modality, there is a representative random sample of 886 students with a level 97% confidence level and 3% maximum estimation error, the research technique was the survey, the data collection instrument was the virtual questionnaire, and the SPSS statistical software was used for information processing. The most significant and relevant findings in the research correspond to the digital competences of university teachers considered high with 35.10% and very high with 32.10%, since professional commitment is relevant in the development of the teachinglearning process with the use of digital resources, the digital pedagogy used by teachers in evaluation and feedback that allows to empower students and continuously strengthen students' digital competence. Another of the findings obtained in the research corresponds to the professional commitment, which is the digital competence developed by the teachers with 83% that is evidenced through the dedication and commitment in the development of their teaching work using digital tools. On the other hand, it is shown that the evaluation and feedback process is considered by 72.50%, which is equivalent to a very low, low, and regular level, evidencing a low level of use of digital resources to innovate in the application of evaluations and feedback. Due to the rapid globalization of the modern educational space, pedagogical education in Russia characterized by the process of large-scale modernization, which has led to growing problem of educator training as a multicultural personality capable of network collaboration with educators of both domestic and foreign countries. Orientation on the educator training capable of expressing responsibility and self-independence in the decision making, creativity and initiative is becoming the primary trend in the State policy in the context of educational sphere, that is viewed as the factor of development not only of the personality of a student, but also of an educator. The goal of the paper is to argue a theoretical foundation of the professional qualities of an educator in the context of contextual-network technology, the basis of which are the ideas of contextual education, androgogy, ideas of network learning. These trends are more focused on the problems of the professional qualities formation of an educator in the context of a health-saving educational environment in which the personalities of education interact to obtain a holistic picture of the world. However, the practical experience of professional qualities formation showed insufficient development of this problem in accordance with the requirements of the FSES HE and the introduction of digital technologies in the learning process, which is confirmed by regulatory documents, in particular the Russian Government's Resolution on the Approval of the State Program of the Russian Federation "Education Development (from 26.2017 No.1642)."All abovementioned trends have updated the need to develop the problem of professional qualities formation of an educator. Research methods of research are: theoretical (analysis of philosophical, psychological and educational literature, theoretical modeling of structural and meaningful basis of the study process; empirical (questionnaire, business games, projects); diagnostic (analysis of activity products, summative phase, pedagogical experiment, methods of mathematical statistics). The concept of "professional qualities of an educator is revealed" and the system of professional qualities of an educator is argued, and its effectiveness is proved. Contextual and network technology is developed and the author's program «Professional Qualities Formation of an Educator in the Context of Health-Saving Educational Environment" contributed to the health saving and the natural potential of an educator and motivated an educator to achieve the results and pedagogical comfort. The research provides a snapshot of the development of a methodology for the "English-Latvian-English glossary of medical terms" (bilingual dictionary and phrase book) that was implemented as a cooperation project between two higher education institutions. The study describes the resources used in the drafting process and the structure and functionality of the dictionary. The research was conducted at the end of 2019 as a project Mobile application English-Latvian-English Bilingual Dictionary and Phrase Book of Medical Terms within the framework of internal research project competition Development of Scientific Research Activity at Ventspils University of Applied Sciences. The research concept originates in the up to now insufficiently deployed characteristic of the terminology of various fields (including the medical domain) in different respects: the selection and grouping of terms, their categorisation and translation. Given the experience of the authors of the available and so far published medical dictionaries and the results of empirical work and the survey of potential users about their expectations for a medical dictionary, possible problems of and solutions for the development of a new dictionary of medical terms were deployed. In today's digital world, digital innovations and new digital capabilities gain increasing prevalence. Organizations have to be able to deal with the transformative impact of digital products and services on their operations and business models. At the same time, digital product and service innovations (DPI) dare organizations with new managerial challenges. Based on resource-based view theory, this study argues that in order to achieve superior DPI results, organizations need to develop firm-wide DPI capabilities that allow them to assemble, integrate, and deploy their digital resources. Empirical data collected from DPI project team members across Germany, Austria and Switzerland shows that an organization's DPI capabilities positively influence its DPI performance. The contribution aims to deal with the building-up of philosophical digital resources and to points out their functions within the framework of interdisciplinary intersection of philosophy and digital humanities (or computing). Firstly, it consists of mapping the most important and accessible philosophical digital resources (e.g. Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy, Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy, PhilPapers: Online Research in Philosophy, Early Modern Thought Online, A Corpus of English Philosophy Texts). Secondly, it comprises of the methodological evaluation of these digital philosophical resources and demarcation of their main features and functions in the practice of digital philosophical research. In this paper, we address the issues of development including computer using advances in science and technology. Thanks to the diversity and flexibility emphasize the role of scientists, researchers and scholars to invent and create concepts, methods, technologies, devices and products, all in a dynamic of constant change and evolution. The first part examines the role of computers and IT has produced a new vision of science and the scientific and technological revolution and the real research projects. They reinvent and enriched as the algorithm, language, system, project management, architecture concepts. The second part focuses on the characteristics of digital resources in higher education and wants to change the design of innovative curricula on learning. This research focuses on the problematic of the use of virtual learning environments in a higher education institution in the north of Portugal. In this study, we set the scientific and pedagogical background of virtual learning environments, and we analyze the responses obtained from an online questionnaire conducted to 536 subjects, all teachers and students at that same higher education institution, namely 347 students and 189 teachers. The research questions of this study were set out in order to assess the frequency with which the higher education students and teachers of that institution access virtual learning environments, the value they assign to those environments as well as to their integrated tools, and also to assess the influence of users' computer skills on their access to virtual learning environments. Considering the computer skills classification of each subject of this study, three independent categories were created, both for teachers and students, associated with basic skills, intermediate skills and advanced skills, respectively. In this paper we adopt a descriptive and inferential data analysis, using the recommended statistical procedures. Results show that the majority of teachers and students access the institution's virtual environment on a daily basis. However, there are significant differences between teachers who have intermediate computer skills and those who have basic skills, as the percentage of teachers with intermediate skills accessing the virtual learning environment everyday is higher than that of the teachers who have basic computer skills. No significant differences were found among students as far as the relation between virtual learning environment access and computer skills is concerned. With regard to the assessment of the virtual learning environment, more than 80% of the teachers consider that the use of the institution's virtual learning environment is valuable to send messages or notices to students, provide the teacher's office attendance hours, provide a schedule of activities, provide students' assessment, provide the plan of students' activities, and allow students to access resources and submit assignments online. The aspects valued by more than 80% of the students were: checking exam results and receiving messages or notices from teachers. The importance of this study is mainly related to knowledge sharing with the scientific community concerned with the implementation of virtual learning environments, based on the assessment of a specific situation which involved higher education students and teachers. Although the results cannot be generalized within the scope of other institutions as the sample belongs to one institution only, the study provides indicators which may represent an asset for future studies concerning the assessment and use of virtual learning environments and the digital tools they provide in the higher education context, as well as for the understanding of the relation between the use of these environments and their users' computer skills. This article is the result of a four years teaching experience in one of the largest and controversial Romanian Universities using the E-learning system: Spiru Haret. It is a well-known fact that this was the first Romanian academic institution that used the E-learning techniques in wide and systematic way. Numerous articles appeared in the press in 2009 when the scandal of fake diplomas first started. This article is the perspective of an insider, that is, of someone who taught information and communication techniques in this institution for several years. I consider my experience and my findings to be balanced and objective and I also believe that we have to analyze things in a more profound and rational manner after the 2009 media storm ended. My article provides very useful information in this area since there are no academic articles on the way this Romanian academic institution (mis)understands the power of E-learning tools. A crucial component of the nation's K-economy envisions the availability of digital content exchange or content infrastructure. The idea of providing and presenting information via electronic means and formats truly fascinates managers of information agencies worldwide. This phenomenon obviously affects the thinking and perception of the managers and administrators of libraries, museums, archives and galleries. Presently, cultural institutions are actively connecting their collections to these emerging knowledge networks. They are creating innovative network services based on the digital surrogates of their current collections in a rich, interactive digital environment. A recent study has been made on the digitisation of cultural heritage resources in cultural institutions in Malaysia, namely the National Library, National Archives, National Museum and the National Art Gallery. The four institutions are currently very active in building their digital content and exploring initiatives to deliver the information, however the extent of sustainability of those resources in unknown. The aim of this paper is investigates the digital preservation strategies that are adopted by Malaysian cultural institutions. A multiple case studies approach is used to examine the potential risks to digital cultural resources in four (4) selected Malaysian cultural institutions. Data is collected through structured interviews with information professionals who are involved in digitisation works in the selected cultural institutions. Findings reveal that digital cultural heritage resources in Malaysia is at risk in terms of digitisation policies, selection criteria, cost, staffing, technology, storage, metadata management and copyright. This study is very significant to professionals who are involved in archiving the digital cultural heritage as it can be a guide for managing risks in preserving valuable digital resources. The result of this study can be a practical tool for managing risks not only for digital cultural heritage but also to all documents in digital format. This paper is innovatively to develop a new hybrid performance evaluation method in the literature of assessing the digital resources serving performances. The proposed method employs the hierarchical evaluation method based on fuzzy rules and artificial neural networks. The proposed method integrates the fuzzy logic and the artificial neural networks, which overcomes the shortcomings of redundant fuzzy rules. The evaluation index system is determined based on the universal principle and the research fruits of the former scholars home and abroad. We build a fuzzy neural network evaluation model to achieve the final evaluation goal of the digital resources. In addition, to evaluate the performance of the proposed approach, we compare its results with GRA-BPN model. The aim of this paper is to discuss about the perception of new information library resources among librarians and users, the use and importance of information resources in university learning and research process.
