The development of organic rice faces the constraints that land convention takes a long time and at the beginning of land convertion from conventional to organic the production is low. In addition, the price difference between organic and conventional rice often cannot be enjoyed by farmers. This study aims to determine the attitude of farmers towards organic rice farming and the relationship between these factors and the attitude of farmers. This research was conducted in Sleman Regency which is the regency with the largest farmer groups that have been doing organic rice farming. This study's total number of respondents was 100 f armers with a proportional random sampling method. In this study, the aspects used include cognitive, affective, and conative aspects. The results of the study show that the cognitive aspects of organic rice farmers are in the known category, the affective aspect is in the agree category and the conative aspect is in the sometimes category. Overall the attitude of farmers is in the currently category. Internal factors that significantly influence farmers' attitudes are the farming experience and farmers' income. External factors that have a significant relationship with farmers' attitudes are government policies and the availability of production factors. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
