Based on previous analyses, where the FEMAXI-6 code was tested on selected fuel performance irradiation tests, weakness of the input parameters and models used were revealed. To adapt and validate the code, TRANSURANUS code was implemented to the computational scheme and IFA-429 experiment was selected. The IFA-429 was devoted to investigation of the fission gas release from PWR types rods during rapid and short power increases. Rod designated as CD was selected due to its highest average grain diameter of 17 µm. Fission gas evolution was calculated by both codes and compared to the experimental values. Winning is greatly influenced by the experience as well as the comparative talent of the opponents. Hence, this study has two aims: first, to calculate the Relative Quality of each player and then classify the similar patterns of the female single players' performance based on their experience and Relative Quality, and second, to determine which weightings of the variables best discriminate between winners and losers for each cluster. The match statistics for four 2018 Grand Slam main-draw women's singles matches were collected from separate official tournament websites: the Australian Open, the French Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open, which consist of 1016 observations. The methods used in this study are hierarchical-based clustering analysis, which groups the players based on these two attributes, and discriminant analysis, which governs which attributes are best to discriminate among the winners and losers for each of the four clusters. Based on the cluster analysis results, four clusters were identified and designated as LEHRQ, LELRQ, HEHRQ, and HEHRQ. The outcome of the discriminant analysis shows that the performance of a tennis player is most likely reliant on holding their serve and remaining powerful to break their opponent's serve. Moreover, there are variations in the components among clusters. Robot-assisted feeding can greatly enhance the lives of those with mobility limitations. Modern feeding systems can pick up and position food in front of a care recipient's mouth for a bite. However, many with severe mobility constraints cannot lean forward and need direct inside-mouth food placement. This demands precision, especially for those with restricted mouth openings, and appropriately reacting to various physical interactions - incidental contacts as the utensil moves inside, impulsive contacts due to sudden muscle spasms, deliberate tongue maneuvers by the person being fed to guide the utensil, and intentional bites. In this paper, we propose an inside-mouth bite transfer system that addresses these challenges with two key components: a multi-view mouth perception pipeline robust to tool occlusion, and a control mechanism that employs multimodal time-series classification to discern and react to different physical interactions. We demonstrate the efficacy of these individual components through two ablation studies. In a full system evaluation, our system successfully fed 13 care recipients with diverse mobility challenges. Participants consistently emphasized the comfort and safety of our inside-mouth bite transfer system, and gave it high technology acceptance ratings - underscoring its transformative potential in real-world scenarios. Here, for our smart cane we have used ultrasonic sensor foe obstacle detection and avoidance, water sensor for detection of water, accelerometer for fall detection, df mini player for voice messages and GSM to send an SMS to the caretaker in case of emergency or fall. This prototype is successfully tested and gives satisfactory results in case of obstacle detection. The generally accepted technology for growing grafted plants necessitates the development of an advanced technology for the production of planting material, which ensures a high yield of quality cuttings, for example, with the use of growth-stimulating preparations. The aim of the study was to develop effective elements of the technology for the production of grafted grape cuttings using a dose of growth-stimulating preparations to improve the quality and yield of grafted grape cuttings. The highest regenerative activity in the Tsimlyanskyi chernyi variety was exhibited by the variant with soaking in the "Humat+7" stimulant (scion+rootstock), in which, on the 15th day after inoculation, 100% callus formation was observed, bud burst in 93.3% of grafts, saplings yield accounted for 77.1%, while in the control only 28.6%. In the Cabernet Sauvignon variety, the variant with soaking the scion part in the "Humat+7" stimulant showed itself best, where 100% formation of callus was also observed, the bud burst in 26.7% of grafts, and the final yield of cuttings was 68.6% in 6 times more than control (11.4%). The study examines the impact of knowledge-oriented leadership (KOL) on companies operating in high tech industries concentrating either on business-to-business (B2B) or business-to-consumer (B2C) markets. The impact is measured by companies' performance. The study was conducted in Poland using telephone interviews. The analysed sample consists of 358 companies. The main method of analysis used was linear regression. In order to distinguish high tech industries, the Galindo-Rueda and Verger (2016) classification was used. High tech and medium-high tech industries were analysed. In the first step, medium-high tech and high tech companies were analysed together. For companies concentrating on the B2C market, KOL accounted for 14.2% of their performance variance. In the case of companies concentrating on the B2B market, KOL accounted for as little as 3.1% of these entities' performance variance. At the subsequent stage, companies concentrating on the B2C market were analysed in more depth by dividing them into medium-high tech and high tech groups, as their model fit was relatively high. The results showed that in the case of entities operating in medium-high tech industries, KOL accounted for 17.1% of these companies' performance variance. In the case of entities operating in high tech industries, the model was statistically insignificant. The main contribution of this article is revealing that the impact of KOL on performance is especially high among companies operating in medium-high tech industries and (mainly) in B2C markets. The paper is dedicated to the effects of external (prior venture capital investments) and internal (education, prior work experience, number of founders) signalling effects of high tech European startups on the value of acquisition deals. The sample consists of 170 European high tech startups, which were acquired in the period from 2002 to 2018. Three hypotheses were developed: (1) both external and internal signals affect the value of acquisitions positively. (2) In different countries the effect of the signals is different. (3) When external and internal effects appear simultaneously, the effect is additive. To answer the research questions, we applied the regression analysis. The results show that (1) Some of the internal signals may have negative effect on the value of acquisitions. (2) In different countries the effects of the signals are different. The main objective of this study is to evaluate relationships between socio-eco-financial inputs and outputs and investigate the dynamic efficiency of high-tech companies. Relationships were evaluated by estimating Spearman as well as canonical correlations. Changes in socio-eco-efficiency through 2010-2016 were calculated using the Malmquist index. High-tech companies were split into manufacturing (HTM) and knowledge-intensive services (HTKIS) sectors for comparison. Findings indicate tight interrelatedness of socio-eco aspects and their weak relationship to the financial situation, where undesirable socio-eco situation reduces sales and return on assets only in HTM. Technological changes reveal post-crisis market recovery with increasing competition bringing negative socio-eco-efficiency changes in the last years. Nowadays, increased technological uncertainty and market turbulence are forcing companies to be constantly ready for the change. Consequently, the path through which incumbent firms pursue radical innovation is not extensively clear in the literature. Based on three relevant approaches proposed in the literature as solutions to the problem of pursuing radical innovation in large established firms, (i.e. ambidexterity, dynamic capabilities, and open innovation) we develop a conceptual framework allowing us to analyze firms' dynamic and open approaches to radical innovation. We present an empirical application of this framework to the case of a high-technology company operating in the industrial automation industry. Drawing on primary and secondary data, we provide empirical evidence of a "path" for incumbent companies which, by adopting open and agile approaches, can reach two purposes: first, to reduce and manage uncertainties generated by discontinuities and explorative activities, second, to successfully pursue radical innovation. Training the right competencies to deal with highly complex systems is beneficial but also very challenging, as classical courses are usually not designed interdisciplinary. The use of e-Learning and ICT tools next to the professor-student interaction is potentially enhancing the capability of the students to deal with high complexity and many variables that interact deterministic or stochastic. This situation can either discourage the students, or boost their motivation, when engaging with high complex technology business simulations, a fact that is also analyzed within the paper. Thus, the paper uses the experience of the authors' team in order to establish if technology business simulations can contribute to master excellence in the field of engineering and management and if it diminishes or boosts the motivation of students in the process. This article presents the investigation of reasonable antenna structure for 5G technology. Nano additives have unique characteristics widely used in high technology applications due to their ultrahigh mechanical and thermal properties. They are not preferred in price sensitive sectors especially in automotive applications because of their high cost. On the other hand, there is a growing interest to use graphene as a reinforcing agent in composite production. At this point, graphene platelet (GNP) produced from the recycle source was used as a template for carbon nanofiber production by using chemical vapor deposition (CVD) technique to overcome commercialization barrier. This bicomponent and novel structure is a good candidate to be used as a reinforcing agent in compound formulations. This produced hybrid additive was dispersed in thermoplastic resin by thermokinetic mixer to get homogeneous dispersion and provide strong interfacial interactions. In the current work, the outstanding properties of graphene with carbon fibers were combined into one type structure. With the further research, the number of graphene layer were adjusted in this hybrid structure to bring a new insight in graphene and its composite applications. After the fabrication of graphene and carbon fiber-based reinforcements with different graphene sources, mechanically and thermally improved Polyamide 6.6 were developed at very low loadings by a thermokinetic high shear mixer. This developed technology will utilize an innovation to produce advanced thermoplastic prepregs including graphene and its hybrid additives with high mechanical properties and increased recycling degree by decreasing manufacturing costs. Implementation of organizational innovation is considered highly important to prevent falling behind in competitive advantage and to raise level of efficiency as organizational innovation is considered to be driving force and success factor of implementation of other innovation types (product, process, marketing innovation). To date, studies on organizational innovation in deep tech and high tech companies are relatively rare, organizational innovation is difficult to measure and traditional surveys which focuses mainly on products and process innovation fail to capture the diversity and intricacy of innovation processes emerging in deep tech and high tech enterprises. Author has used such research method as literature review and previously made research to make a survey for the further study. The objectives of the paper were to identify and analyze different component of organizational innovation, main weak points of organizational innovation survey questioners and design questioner for the organizational innovation survey in high tech and deep tech enterprises. Collaborative innovation approaches align diverse stakeholders for value co-creation and the exploration of new opportunities for competitive advantage. However, there are two implicit concerns about collaborative innovation. First, high technology innovation frequently requires specialized knowledge. Second, domain knowledge and capabilities vary across stakeholder groups. Thus, this paper investigates how diverse stakeholders can co-generate innovation ideas for high technologies. Based on the Quadruple Helix approach and a review of the scientific literature on innovation and co-creation, this paper develops a stylized method for collaborative innovation. In a subsequent step, the method is empirically tested using a case study approach. The paper’s key findings reveal the importance of continuous idea development throughout the process, open transfer of knowledge across stakeholders, and the integration of multilateral perspectives. Specialized knowledge and knowhow underlie the division of knowledge for the technology sectors of advanced economies, yet we know surprisingly little about the emergence and structural properties of how such knowledge is organized. I address this challenging task with a longitudinal study of face-to-face meetings and email exchanges among a large online-and-offline tech startup community. I trace the emergence of New York City's regional knowledge economy from an undifferentiated group of technology entrepreneurs and professionals in 2005 to a differentiated regional knowledge economy by 2015. These new sources of data enable us to see with greater clarity the network morphology of the division of knowledge in a high technology economy, as it undergoes both an increasing specialization among actors already in the system and also an influx of new people with different knowledge and interests. A large body of research on the "glass ceiling" has shown that women's career advancement is limited relative to men, but little is known about how highly-successful women break through this barrier. We hypothesize that one way women improve their chances of advancement within firms is through atypical career paths, which allow them to move from jobs with limited advancement opportunities into ones with more fecund career ladders. We do not expect men to similarly benefit from atypical career paths. We test this hypothesis using monthly observations of 53,311 exempt U.S. employees at a West Coast Fortune 500 tech company over an eight year period, from 2008 to 2015. We first demonstrate that jobs disproportionately staffed by women offer, on average, lower pay and lower advancement opportunities within the firm. We then find that erratic career mobility, defined as a sequence of atypical job moves, results in differential outcomes for women and men. Women who move erratically are more likely to be promoted than similarly erratic men. However, this also presents a risk, as women's erratic movement results in lower performance appraisals than similarly erratic men. We call this the "dilemma of mobility". [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

How do we assess whether blacks and Latinxs are penalized in hiring in an increasingly diverse workplace? In this paper, I propose that to more comprehensively understand how minorities are disadvantaged in hiring, we must expand the implicit comparison beyond "whites" to include Asians who are often associated with economic success. Based on a case study of the software engineering hiring process at a midsized high technology firm in Silicon Valley, I show how black and Latinx job candidates are penalized early in the hiring process (callbacks), but for different reasons depending on the comparison group. Compared to U.S-educated whites, blacks and Latinxs are penalized in callbacks because they excluded from referral networks. Compared to U.S.-educated Chinese, differences in elite education, rather than differences in referrals, explain the minority penalty in callbacks.
