The rapid advance in artificial intelligence technology has facilitated the prosperity of digital humanities research. Against such backdrop, research methods need to be transformed in the intelligent processing of ancient texts, which is a crucial component of digital humanities research, so as to adapt to new development trends in the wave of AIGC. In this study, we propose a GPT model called SikuGPT based on the corpus of Siku Quanshu. The model's performance in tasks such as intralingual translation and text classification exceeds that of other GPT-type models aimed at processing ancient texts. SikuGPT's ability to process traditional Chinese ancient texts can help promote the organization of ancient information and knowledge services, as well as the international dissemination of Chinese ancient culture., Comment: 20 pages,1 figure

The analysis is performed considering both the converter's current and voltage limitations and the Transmission System Operator (TSO) Fault Ride Through (FRT) requirements. By means of a steady-state analysis, the time-domain expressions of the converter's arms energies are obtained and their behavior throughout the MMC's operating range is shown. Based on these expressions, the optimization-based problem to reduce the CSM size is developed and its constraints are imposed to ensure that the converter's voltage and current levels are within its design limitations. The suggested method is compared with different approaches for distinct active and reactive power set-points, where it is shown that the SM capacitor size can be reduced up to 24% in comparison with the method with worst performance and up to 7% regarding the best method used for comparison purposes. Furthermore, time-domain simulations of the MMC considering several AC voltage sags are performed in order to demonstrate that the dynamics of the SM capacitor and the arm applied voltages are within acceptable margins during the different operations., Postprint (author's final draft)

This study describes a novel approach to design of a power factor correction (PFC) and total harmonic distortion (THD) reduction-based brushless DC (BLDC) motor drive. The drive was designed to obtain a reduced THD for PFC. The basic design of the BLDC motor drive contains an AC voltage source as input for a diode bridge rectifier. The output DC voltage is filtered out to reduce ripples. The smooth DC output voltage is supplied to the modified Zeta converter. The output voltage of the modified Zeta converter is controlled by using pulse width modulation (PWM). The modified Zeta converter is utilized in discontinuous inductor current mode (DICM) for better power factor. This controlled DC voltage is supplied to the voltage source inverter (VSI) as input. The VSI is designed to convert input DC into a suitable AC voltage source. The output voltage of the VSI depends upon switching patterns applied to power transistors generated by space vector PWM. Additionally, the output of the VSI is supplied to the BLDC motor for speed control. The main purpose of this paper is to simulate and assess BLDC motor function via the MATLAB/Simulink environment, using SimPowerSystems and the Simscape toolbox, with the goals of improved power factor, lower THD, and better speed control. The PFC modified Zeta converter topology produced the best power factor, currently 0.981, which is better than other topologies, with a THD of only 9.81%, the lowest of all three topologies, which demonstrates the significance of the proposed model.

We studied the self-assembly of miktoarm star polyelectrolytes with different numbers of arms in solutions with various ionic strengths using coarse-grained molecular dynamic simulations. Spherical micelles are obtained for star polyelectrolytes with fewer arms, whereas wormlike clusters are obtained for star polyelectrolytes with more arms at a low ionic strength environment, with hydrophilic arms showing a stretched conformation. The number of clusters shows an overall decreasing tendency with increasing the number of arms in star polyelectrolytes due to strong electrostatic coupling between polycations and polyanions. The formation of wormlike clusters follows an overall stepwise pathway with an intermittent association–dissociation process for star polyelectrolytes with weak electrostatic coupling. These computational results can provide relevant physical insights to understand the self-assembly mechanism of star polyelectrolytes in solvents with various ionic strengths and to design star polyelectrolytes with functional groups that can fine-tune self-assembled structures for specific applications.

Subspace methods are essential to high-resolution environment sensing in the emerging unmanned systems, if further combined with the millimeter-wave (mm-Wave) massive multi-input multi-output (MIMO) technique. The estimation of signal/noise subspace, as one critical step, is yet computationally complex and presents a particular challenge when developing high-resolution yet low-complexity automotive radars. In this work, we develop a fast randomized-MUSIC (R-MUSIC) algorithm, which exploits the random matrix sketching to estimate the signal subspace via approximated computation. Our new approach substantially reduces the time complexity in acquiring a high-quality signal subspace. Moreover, the accuracy of R-MUSIC suffers no degradation unlike others low-complexity counterparts, i.e. the high-resolution angle of arrival (AoA) estimation is attained. Numerical simulations are provided to validate the performance of our R-MUSIC method. As shown, it resolves the long-standing contradiction in complexity and accuracy of MIMO radar signal processing, which hence have great potentials in real-time super-resolution automotive sensing.

This paper focuses on the noise reduction of the cylindrical structure at low frequency (130 Hz-180 Hz). The low-frequency noise response spectrum in the cylindrical cavity is obtained by using the Helmholtz resonator (HR) to reduce the noise peak amplitude. The acoustic simulation software Virtual.Lab is used to establish the finite element model of the cylindrical shell with HR, and to obtain the low-frequency acoustic response in the cylindrical cavity. The simulation model is validated by the experimental results. Then, the influence of installation position, the number of installed resonators and the resonators with different resonance frequencies in the cylindrical cavity are discussed. The results indicate that both the noise reduction band and peak amplitude are increased by installing the HR's on the cylinder shell. The noise reduction of the cylinder shell with HR installed on the upper position is larger than other situations. As the number of resonators increased, the frequency range of the noise reduction in the cylindrical cavity gradually increases, and the noise reduction of the cylinder cavity increases first and then decreases.

While patient selection and clinical management have reduced high-dose IL-2 (HDIL2) immunotherapy toxicities, the immune mechanisms that underlie HDIL2-induced morbidity remain unclear. Here we show that dose-dependent morbidity and mortality of IL-2 immunotherapy can be modeled in human immune system (HIS) mice. Depletion of human T cell subsets during the HDIL2 treatment reduces toxicity, pointing to the central function of T cells. Preferential expansion of effector T cells secondary to defective suppressive capacity of regulatory T (Treg) cells after HDIL2 therapy further underscores the importance of Treg in the maintenance of immune tolerance. IL-2 toxicity is induced by selective depletion or inhibition of Treg after LDIL2 therapy, and is ameliorated in HDIL2-treated HIS mice receiving the PIM-1 kinase inhibitor, Kaempferol. Modeling IL-2 pathophysiology in HIS mice offers a means to understand the functions of effector and regulatory T cells in immune-mediated toxicities associated with cancer immunotherapy.

Background and objectives: Several studies revealed clinical signs of stunting and rickets among rural populations of Tibet Autonomous Region (T.A.R.), and especially amid children. Further, these populations are affected by a bone disease named Kashin-Beck disease (KBD). However, little is known about the dietary status of this population. This survey aimed to assess the usual intakes of young Tibetan children living in rural areas around Lhasa for energy, water, and ten minerals and trace elements (Na, K, Ca, P, Mg, Fe, Zn, Cu, Mn, and Se) involved in bone metabolism. Design: A cross-sectional survey was designed. Totally, 250 pre-school children aged 3–5 years living in rural areas were enrolled. The 24-h food recall method was used to collect the intakes for two days, during two different seasons (September 2012 and April 2013). Because Tibetan foods are mainly derived from local agriculture and artisanal production, a combination of food composition tables was compiled, including specific and local food composition data. Results: The Chinese dietary recommended intakes are not met for most of the elements investigated. Intake of sodium is much too high, while usual intakes are too low for K, Ca, Zn, Cu, and Se. Bioavailability of Ca, Fe, and Zn may be of concern due to the high phytic acid content in the diet. Conclusion: These nutrient imbalances may impact growth and bone metabolism of young Tibetan children. The compound is also a considerable plant-growth regulator. In addition, the compound L exhibited selective recognition for Hg2+ over other metals ions such as Ag+, Ca2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cd2+, Pb2+, Zn2+, Cr3+, and Mg2+ in DMSO solutions.

According to the first method, the standard frequency of the deck wetness occurrence is viewed as constant. However, the recommendations of different authors on the selection of the parameter vary significantly within this approach. Consequently, the traditional method does not show the actual conditions of the captain’s making a decision about the forced ship speed reduction. As opposed to the traditional method, in the second method the standard frequency of the deck wetness occurrence is found as a function of the ship speed and the wave intensity. The new approach, which is based on visual impression criterion, allows us to clarify the choice of standard frequency of deck wetness occurrence. It is assumed that the visual determination, which is assessed in the experiment as a high degree of the deck wetness, conditions, in which the captain makes a decision about the forced ship speed reduction.

Since the Spindle Speed Variation (SSV) method has been certified as a feasible and effective way, the issue of speed variation parameters selection has yet to be solved. Based on the discussions of energy accumulation process in chatter and in vari-speed cutting, an analytical method was proposed to select spindle speed variation parameters. The variation of the phase delay between the inner and the outer modulations was regarded as an important argument that reflects the energy accumulation process. Two phase delay related coefficients were proposed for analyzing the mean energy accumulation process and regional energy accumulation enhancement. The importance of spindle acceleration for chatter suppression was also explained. The phase delay based analytical method was verified by numerical simulation and turning experiments.

Allele frequencies for the 15 STR loci (D3S1358, TH01, D21S11, D18S51, Penta E, D5S818, D13S317, D7S820, D16S539, CSF1PO, Penta D, VWA, D8S1179, TPOX and FGA) were investigated using PowerPlex®16 amplification kit in a sample of 328 unrelated individuals from Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The allelic distributions were in Hardy Weinberg equilibrium for all loci except for the loci FGA, TPX and THO1. Various forensic indices were calculated and a comparison was made with geographically nearby populations.

Various cultivars of Perilla frutescens (L.) (var. crispa and var. frutescens) Britt. were harvested in China and Japan. They were easily differentiated on the basis of their foliage color, that varied from red to green. Water extracts of dried plants were investigated for their antioxidant activity (AA) and their polyphenolic compounds compared. Among them, cinnamic acid derivatives (coumaroyl tartaric acid, caffeic acid and rosmarinic acid), flavonoids (apigenin 7-O-caffeoylglucoside, scutellarein 7-Odiglucuronide, luteolin 7-O-diglucuronide, apigenin 7-O-diglucuronide, luteolin 7-Oglucuronide, and scutellarein 7-O-glucuronide) and anthocyanins (mainly cis-shisonin, shisonin, malonylshisonin and cyanidin 3-O-(E)-caffeoylglucoside-5-O-malonylglucoside) were quantified. AA assays are based on the inhibition of the free radical 2,2-diphenyl-1- picrylhydrazyl (DPPH). The DPPH radical scavenging activity was calculated as Trolox® [(±)-6-hydroxy-2,5,7,8-tetramethylchromane-2-carboxylic acid] equivalent antioxidant capacity (TEAC). The mean amount of total phenolics of the water extracts (4-29 ?mol/100 mL) and the TEAC value calculated (23-167 ?mol TE/100 mL) confirmed the high antioxidant activity of these leaf water extracts. These results were highly correlated within some o-dihydroxylated polyphenolic compounds and AA.
