Designing protein sequences with specific biological functions and structural stability is crucial in biology and chemistry. Generative models already demonstrated their capabilities for reliable protein design. However, previous models are limited to the unconditional generation of protein sequences and lack the controllable generation ability that is vital to biological tasks. In this work, we propose TaxDiff, a taxonomic-guided diffusion model for controllable protein sequence generation that combines biological species information with the generative capabilities of diffusion models to generate structurally stable proteins within the sequence space. Specifically, taxonomic control information is inserted into each layer of the transformer block to achieve fine-grained control. The combination of global and local attention ensures the sequence consistency and structural foldability of taxonomic-specific proteins. Extensive experiments demonstrate that TaxDiff can consistently achieve better performance on multiple protein sequence generation benchmarks in both taxonomic-guided controllable generation and unconditional generation. Remarkably, the sequences generated by TaxDiff even surpass those produced by direct-structure-generation models in terms of confidence based on predicted structures and require only a quarter of the time of models based on the diffusion model. Classical software documentation, as it was conceived and intended decades ago, is not the only reality anymore. Official documentation from authoritative and official sources is being replaced by real-time collaborative platforms and ecosystems that have seen a surge, influenced by changes in society, technology, and best practices. These modern tools influence the way developers document the conception, design, and implementation of software. As a by-product of these shifts, developers are changing their way of communicating about software. Where once official documentation stood as the only truth about a project, we now find a multitude of volatile and heterogeneous documentation sources, forming a complex and ever-changing documentation landscape. Software projects often include a top-level README file with important information, which we leverage to identify their documentation landscape. Starting from ∼12K GitHub repositories, we mine their README files to extract links to additional documentation sources. We present a qualitative analysis, revealing multiple dimensions of the documentation landscape (e.g., content type, source type), highlighting important insights. By analyzing instant messaging application links (e.g., Gitter, Slack, Discord) in the histories of README files, we show how this part of the landscape has grown and evolved in the last decade. Our findings show that modern documentation encompasses communication platforms, which are exploding in popularity. This is not a passing phenomenon: On the contrary, it entails a number of unknowns and socio-technical problems the research community is currently ill-prepared to tackle.

We present a self-consistent paradigm for interpreting the striking features of nearby low-luminosity GRB~190829A. Its prompt gamma-ray lightcurve has two separated pulses. We propose that the interaction of the hard prompt gamma-ray photons ($E_p= 624_{-303}^{+2432}$ keV) of its initial pulse with the dusty medium ($A_{\rm V}=2.33$) does not only result in the second soft gamma-ray pulse ($E_p\sim 12$ keV), but also makes a pre-accelerated $e^{\pm}$-rich medium shell via the $\gamma\gamma$ annihilation.In this paradigm, we show that the observed radio, optical, and X-ray afterglow lightcurves are well fit with the forward shock model. Its jet is almost isotropic ($\theta_j>1.0$ rad) with a Lorentz factor of $\sim 35$, and the electron density of the $e^{\pm}$-rich medium shell is $\sim 15$ cm$^{-3}$, about 7~times higher than the electron density of its normal surrounding medium. The GRB ejecta catches up with and propagates into the $e^{\pm}$-rich medium shell at a region of $R=(4.07-6.46)\times 10^{16}~\rm cm$, resulting in a bright afterglow bump at $\sim 10^3$ seconds post the GRB trigger. The predicted very high energy (VHE) gamma-ray emission from the synchrotron self-Compton process agrees with the H.E.S.S. observation. Severe rhabdomyolysis is associated with morbidity and mortality. We report on a previously well male who developed severe rhabdomyolysis, sepsis, and multi-organ failure. The patient made a complete recovery. Extensive microbiological testing was only positive for RSV, making this the first reported case of adult RSV-related rhabdomyolysis in the literature.

Purpose/aim This study is about environmental protection and energy conservation in the China vehicle market. Based on that, we focus on and comparison of combustion vehicles with hybrid vehicles.Design/method/approach Data was collected through questionnaire. The analysis includes a description of the sample and chi-square tests. We analyze two different particular engines (combustion engine vehicles and hybrid electric vehicles) and our single environment. We compare these two engine vehicles, and analyze the trends of the market. We use scientific data and existing theories to analyze the vehicles, including “lifecycle costs” “CO2 emissions”, “Greenhouse gas”, “Consumers perception”, “Full Costing”, “PPC (Production Possibilities Curve)”, “Supply Demand Curve”, and “Green Taxes”.Findings We conclude that hybrid engine vehicles are environmentally friendly and energy conserving, but they have higher lifecycle costs. The analysis also shows that different ages, education levels and regions affect the customers’ preferences for these two kinds of vehicles.Originality/value Our original idea is the problems of hybrid vehicles and how to support and popularize hybrid vehicles depends on the exact national conditions and policies implemented. However, consumers might not be able to accept the “environmental protection and energy conservation” concept immediately, because it’s difficult to change the consumption concept of a generation or culture. Therefore, the government should carry out policies that are suitable for their local region to update the consumption concepts of the consumers and promote the new energy vehicles. Thus, the goal of environmental protection and energy conservation can be reached.

Thus, in conventional application, the heat radiation effect was ignored in situations of small temperature difference between insulated surfaces and surrounding. In this investigation, the differences heat transfer characteristics of an insulated spherical container between considering and neglecting the influence of heat radiation is studied by the simulations in some practical situations. It is found that even in situations of very low temperature-difference between outer surface and surrounding (such as 1℃), the heat radiation effect can’t be ignored in situations of lower ambient convection heat coefficients and greater surface emissivities. In most situations, ignoring the heat radiation will generate quite a big errors (especially in surface temperature) and affect the design quality. It is also proved that using smaller surface emissivity can greatly improve the performance of insulation.
