This edited volume seeks to tease out possible avenues of investigation of the clothed body and its representations through the lens of feeling.

This article proposes a critical reading of the photographic work of Hedi Slimane (Paris, FR, 968-) by teasing out the relation between his photographic (dis-) engagement with his subjects and the employment of an impersonal style of affect. I begin with an overview of the emergenceof the fashion creative director as a stardom figure at the turn of the 21st century, and I proceed with an inquiry into the auteurial iconography fabricated by Slimane in the last ten years. Tackling the intricate bond of style and masculinity against the backdrop of queer theoretical concerns,I offer an analysis of his main photographic anthologies from the last ten years. I conclude with a reflection on Slimane’s self-narratives in the context of the relationship between biography and historiography., Este artigo propõe uma leitura crítica do trabalho fotográfico do diretor criativo Hedi Slimane ao desvendar a relação entre seu (des-) envolvimento fotográfico com os seus temas e o emprego em suas imagens de um estilo de afeto impessoal que reduz a participação do espectador ao mínimo. Inicio minha análise com uma visão geral do surgimento do diretor criativo como uma figura de estrelato na indústria da moda na virada do século XXI, e prossigo com uma investigação sobre a iconografia autoral fabricada por Slimane por meio de suas fotografias nos últimos dez anos. Enfrentando o intrincado vínculo de estilo e masculinidade contra o pano de fundo das preocupações teóricas queer, ofereço uma leitura crítica de suas principais antologias fotográficas dos últimos dez anos: Rock Diary (2008) e Anthology of a Decade (2011). Concluo este artigo com uma reflexão sobre a autonarrativa de Slimane no contexto da problemática relação entre as biografias dos designers e a historiografia da moda.

In ictu oculi es una instalación intermedia que supone una reflexión sobre el paso del tiempo. La propuesta toma como punto de partida la obra del pintor barroco Juan de Valdés Leal (Sevilla, 1622-1690). Este artista es conocido fundamentalmente por los llamados “jeroglíficos de las postrimerías”, dos cuadros pintados hacia 1672 para la iglesia del Hospital de la Caridad de Sevilla. Basándose en el “jeroglífico” de Valdés Leal, la artista trata de recuperar la filosofía barroca de la “vanitas”, reutilizando los símbolos de la vela y el abrir y cerrar de ojos (parpadeo).

Item does not contain fulltext, In the present research, event-based prospective memory and response inhibition (RI) abilities were investigated in children with ASD (Study 1), with ADHD (Study 2), and their matched neurotypical controls. Children engaged in a categorisation (ongoing) task and, concurrently, in either an event-based prospective memory (PM) or a Go/No-Go secondary task. Results showed that, as compared to their matched controls, ASD children's performance was more impaired in the PM task than in the Go/No-Go task, while the performance pattern of ADHD children was reversed. In the ongoing task, ASD children were as accurate as, but significantly slower than, controls, independently of conditions. ADHD children did not differ from controls in the presence of a concurrent PM task, while they were less accurate than controls in the presence of the go/no-go task. Overall, the two patterns of findings suggest important differences in the way ASD and ADHD children remember and realise intentions requiring opposite behaviours (acting vs stopping).

Item does not contain fulltext, The purpose of this study was to explore the influence of social importance on prospective remembering in younger and older adults as a possible factor contributing to the age-prospective memory paradox. Using a between-subjects design, 40 younger and 40 older adults worked on a time-based prospective memory task in which social importance was varied. Overall, younger adults outperformed older adults in the prospective memory task. Importantly, in contrast to younger adults, older adults' prospective memory performance was significantly better in the social importance condition than in the standard condition. This interaction was not reflected in participants' time-monitoring behaviour. Findings are discussed in the context of recent prospective memory theories.

This is the final report on the progress of the Centerplate Assembly Machine developed on the M550 Fuze Product Improvement Program. The objective of this program was to design, develop, fabricate, and debug a prototype Centerplate Assembly Machine capable of producing 250,000 Centerplates per month on a 1-8-5 shift basis. An appendix is included covering a verbal description of the machine's function, the purchase description, a listing of operations and maintenance manuals, and a list of drawings for the assembly machine.
