In this paper, we propose a radar odometry structure that directly utilizes radar velocity measurements for dead reckoning while maintaining its ability to update estimations within the Kalman filter framework. Specifically, we employ the Doppler velocity obtained by a 4D Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) radar in conjunction with gyroscope data to calculate poses. This approach helps mitigate high drift resulting from accelerometer biases and double integration. Instead, tilt angles measured by gravitational force are utilized alongside relative distance measurements from radar scan matching for the filter's measurement update. Additionally, to further enhance the system's accuracy, we estimate and compensate for the radar velocity scale factor. The performance of the proposed method is verified through five real-world open-source datasets. Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) substantially contributes to the burden of mental disorders. Improved awareness and changes in diagnostic criteria of ASD may have influenced the diagnostic rates of ASD. However, while data on trends in diagnostic rates in some individual countries have been published, updated estimates of diagnostic rate trends and ASD-related disability at the global level are lacking. Here, we used the Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study data to address this gap, focusing on changes in prevalence, incidence, and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) of ASD across the world. From 1990 to 2019, overall age-standardized estimates remained stable globally. Both prevalence and DALYs increased in countries with high socio-demographic index (SDI). However, the age-standardized incidence decreased in some low SDI countries, indicating a need to improve awareness. The male/female ratio decreased between 1990 and 2019, possibly accounted for by increasing clinical attention to ASD in females. Our results suggest that ASD detection in low SDI countries is suboptimal, and that ASD prevention/treatment in countries with high SDI should be improved, considering the increasing prevalence of the disorder. Additionally, growing attention is being paid to ASD diagnosis in females, who might have been left behind by ASD epidemiologic and clinical research previously. ASD burden estimates are underestimated as GBD does not account for mortality in ASD.

Given Jacobi forms, we determine associated Jacobi-like forms, whose coefficients are quasimodular forms. We then use these quasimodular forms to construct differential operators on modular forms, which are expressed in terms of the Fourier coefficients of the given Jacobi forms.

We developed a one-minute, one-step SARS-CoV-2 antigen assay based on protein-induced fluorescence enhancement of a DNA aptamer. The system showed significant selectivity and sensitivity towards both nucleocapsid protein and SARS-CoV-2 virus lysate, but with marked improvements in speed and manufacturability. We hence propose this platform as a mix-and-read testing strategy for SARS-CoV-2 that can be applied to POC diagnostics in clinical settings, especially in low- and middle-income countries.

Multiple and sensitive detection of oncomiRs for accurate cancer diagnostics is still a challenge. Here, a synergetic amplification strategy was introduced by combining a MXene-based electrochemical signal amplification and a duplex-specific nuclease (DSN)-based amplification system for rapid, attomolar and concurrent quantification of multiple microRNAs on a single platform in total plasma. Synthesized MXene-Ti3C2Tx modified with 5 nm gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) was tasted on a dual screen-printed gold electrode to host vast numbers of DNA probes identically co-immobilized on dedicated electrodes. Interestingly, presence of MXene provided biofouling resistance and enhanced the electrochemical signals by almost 4 folds of magnitude, attributed to its specious surface area and remarkable charge mobility. The 5 nm AuNPs were perfectly distributed within the whole flaky architect of the MXene to give rise to the electrochemical performance of MXene and provide the thiol-Au bonding feature. This synergetic strategy reduced the DSN-based biosensors' assay time to 80 min, provided multiplexability, antifouling activity, substantial sensitivity and specificity (single mutation recognition). The limit of detection of the proposed biosensor for microRNA-21 and microRNA-141 was respectively 204 aM and 138 aM with a wide linear range from 500 aM to 50 nM. As a proof of concept, this newly-developed strategy was coupled with a 96-well adaptive sensing device to successfully profile three cancer plasma samples based on their altered oncomiR abundances.

Recently, smart home systems based on brain-computer interface (BCI) has attracted a wide range of interests in both industry and academia. However, the current BCI system has several shortcomings as it produces a comparatively lower accuracy for real-time implementations as well as the intuitive paradigm for the users cannot be well established here. Therefore, in this study, we proposed a highly intuitive BCI paradigm that combines event-related potential (ERP) with the speech-imagery task for the individual target objects. The decoding accuracy of the proposed paradigm was 88.1% (plus or minus 5.90) which is a much significant higher performance than a conventional ERP system. Furthermore, the amplitude of N700 components was significantly enhanced over frontal regions which are priory evoked by the speech-imagery task. Our results could be utilized to develop a smart home system so that it could be more user-friendly and convenient by means of delivering user's intentions both, intuitively and accurately.

The presence of kaempferol in the AuNCs were confirmed by the PL spectroscopy.Conclusion: The synthesized K-AuNCs mainly targeted and damaged the nuclei of the cancer cells. Hairy vetch (Vicia villosa) is playing an important role to improve soil physical properties and soil fertility for the supply of crop nutrients and this crop is also used as a representative legumes green manure for the production of organic agricultural food. In this study we evaluated the availability of hairy vetch in reclaimed organic rice cultivation. The response to increasing salinity was analyzed by means of the germination rate and seedling growth of hairy vetch. Results showed that seed germination of hairy vetch decreased insignificantly up to concentration of 0.6% NaCl. However, shoot and root growth of hairy vetch showed significant reduction at salinity concentrations higher than 0.1% NaCl level. In these results we were considered that hairy vetch can be use under concentration of 0.1% salinity as green manure for reclaimed saline agriculture.

The cyclic voltammetric response of glucose oxidase modification on the surface of a functionalized graphene oxide electrode showed a surface-confined reaction and an effective redox potential near zero volts, with a wide linearity of 0.1–20 mM and a sensitivity of 7.66 µA mM-1 cm-2. The functionalized graphene oxide electrode showed a better electrocatalytic response toward oxidation of H2O2 and reduction of oxygen. The practical applicability of the functionalized graphene oxide electrode was demonstrated by measuring the peak current against multiple urine and serum samples from diabetic patients. This new hybrid nanoarchitecture combining a three-dimensional metalloid-polymer hybrid and two-dimensional graphene oxide provided a thin solid laminate on the electrode surface. Chromatography technology was employed to clarify the mechanism of interaction between multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) and proteins. A column (16×100 mm) was packed with purified MWCNT, and various proteins were eluted with phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with and without gradient systems. It was found that albumin in bovine serum was eluted immediately from the column without any adsorption to MWCNT. Conversely, the non-albumin proteins, including a protein of 85 kDa molecular mass and a group of proteins with molecular masses higher than 115 kDa, exhibited considerably high affinity towards MWCNT. A sample of pure bovine serum albumin was also eluted immediately from the column, while lysozyme did not elute as a peak with PBS, but eluted with 0.6 M NaCl. Fundamentally, carbon nanotubes are devoid of any electrical charge. Therefore, other forces including the hydrogen bonds, hydrophilic interactions, and van der Waals forces were most probably responsible for the differential elution behaviors. In conclusion, this chromatographic method provided a simple and direct analysis of the interactions between carbon nanotubes and the various proteins.

Furthermore, because the silicon nanowire can display results in real-time, it may possess superior characteristics for biosensing than those demonstrated in previously studied methods. However, despite its promising potential and advantages, certain process-related limitations of the device, due to its size and material characteristics, need to be addressed. In this article, we suggest possible solutions. We fabricated silicon nanowire using a top-down and low cost micromachining method, and evaluate the sensing of molecules after transfer and surface modifications. Our newly designed method can be used to attach highly ordered nanowires to various substrates, to form a nanowire array device, which needs to follow a series of repetitive steps in conventional fabrication technology based on a vapor-liquid-solid (VLS) method. For evaluation, we demonstrated that our newly fabricated silicon nanowire arrays could detect pH changes as well as streptavidin-biotin binding events. As well as the initial proof-of-principle studies, C-reactive protein binding was measured: electrical signals were changed in a linear fashion with the concentration (1 fM to 1 nM) in PBS containing 1.37 mM of salts. We calculate the entropy of a scalar field in a rotating black hole in 2 + 1 dimension. In the Hartle-Hawking state the entropy is proportional to the horizon area, but diverges linearly in $\sqrt{h}$, where $h$ is the radial cut-off. By using the brick wall method we calculate the thermodynamic potential of the complex scalar field in a charged Kerr black hole. Using it we show that in the Hartle-Hawking state the leading term of the entropy is proportional to $\frac{ A _H}{\epsilon^2}$, which becomes divergent as the system approaches the black hole horizon. By using the brick wall method we calculate the free energy and the entropy of the scalar field in the rotating black holes. As one approaches the stationary limit surface rather than the event horizon in comoving frame, those become divergent. Only when the field is comoving with the black hole (i.e. $\Omega_0 = \Omega_H$) those become divergent at the event horizon. In the Hartle-Hawking state the leading terms of the entropy are $ A \frac{1}{h} + B \ln(h) + finite$, where $h$ is the cut-off in the radial coordnate near the horizon.
