This study examines the influence of Blockchain technology utilization (BTU), industrial internet-of-things (IoT), and resource-based management initiatives (RBMI) on innovation performance with the mediating role of organizational resilience in light of the resource-based view (RBV). Moreover, risk-taking tolerance is used as a moderator between organizational resilience and innovation performance. The Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) technique was used to analyze the results. A simple random sampling technique was used to collect data from respondents. A total of 437 questionnaires were collected from the Pakistani automotive industry and used for final analysis. The finding reveals that industrial IoT and RBMI positively relate to organizational resilience and innovation performance. In contrast, BTU does not influence innovation performance but positively influences organizational resilience. Organizational resilience positively related to innovation performance. Organizational resilience significantly mediates between BTU, industrial IoT, RBMI, and innovation performance. Finally, risk-taking tolerance strengthens the relationship between organizational resilience and innovation performance. This research focuses on how management utilizes BTU, industrial IoT, RBMI, organizational resilience, and risk-taking tolerance in decision-making to examine innovation performance. This research initially develops a research model to incorporate BTU, industrial IoT, RBMI, organizational resilience, risk-taking tolerance, and innovation performance in RBV perspectives. Academicians, practitioners, and management can benefit from study results.

Purpose: This study aims to examine the influence of intellectual capital and knowledge management on competitive advantage with the mediation role of innovativeness in the Pakistan manufacturing industry. Moreover, differentiation strategy is used as a moderator between innovativeness and competitive advantage. Design/methodology/approach: The data was collected from 387 manufacturing firms in Pakistan through questionnaires. Purposive random sampling was used to collect data. The partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) method is used to test the proposed hypotheses. This study followed multiple regression analyses to see the influence of intellectual capital, knowledge management, innovativeness and differentiation strategy on competitive advantage. Findings: The results elucidate that intellectual capital and knowledge management significantly determines innovativeness and competitive advantage. Moreover, innovativeness significantly mediates between intellectual capital, knowledge management and competitive advantage. Besides, innovativeness significantly determines competitive advantage. Business strategies significantly lead to competitive advantage. Finally, business strategies significantly moderate between innovativeness and competitive advantage. Practical implications: The research highlight an important issue that how manufacturing sector management uses intellectual capital, knowledge management, innovativeness and business strategies in determining competitive advantage. Besides, it covers the gap and assists the management of the manufacturing sector to focus on exogenous constructs to examine competitive advantage. Originality/value: This study adds value to the body of knowledge by focusing on predictors that impact competitive advantage. In this research work, a simple, efficient, and eco-friendly procedure for the biosorption of Cr(VI) ions was studied. A detailed comparative study was performed to check the adsorption efficiency of agrowaste (banana and potato peels)-based adsorbents. Firstly, mixed biosorbent was washed, dried and ground into powder, secondly, biosorbent was pyrolyzed into biochar and thirdly TiO2 nanocomposite (TiO2 NC) biosorbent was made by sonicating using prepared biochar and TiO2 NPs. Titanium dioxide nanoparticles (TiO2 NPs) were synthesized by a green method using Psidium guajava leaf extract. The synthesized adsorbents were characterized by SEM, EDX FT-IR, XRD and UV-visible analysis. The effect of four different factors, i.e., pH of the synthetic metallic solution, time, concentration and adsorbent dosage was studied. The optimum conditions were time (120 min), pH (3), concentration (10 ppm) and adsorbent dosage (1.0 g). The kinetic modeling showed that the adsorption of Cr(VI) ion follows a pseudo second-order mechanism and the Langmuir isotherm model was found to fit better for this study. Response surface methodology (RSM)-based optimized parameters provided optimal parameter sets that better represent the adsorption rate models. The uptake capacity of Cr(VI) from aqueous solution was found to be biomass (76.49 mg/L) ˂ biochar (86.51 mg/L) ˂ TiO2 NC (92.89 mg/L). It can be suggested that the produced TiO2 NC could possibly be an efficient biosorbent for the removal of Cr(IV).

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between different factors including perceived benefits, perceived risks and online shopping behavior with the mediating role of consumer purchase intention. Online shopping states the recent trends of being able to purchase anything from home with a single click. The main focus of this study is to check the influence of four major variables: convenience, product variety, product risk, and privacy risk which were derived from related literature. Data were collected from 380 students from different universities using simple random sampling. PLS-SEM was used in this study and the results showed that benefits had a positive influence and that risk had a negative influence on online shopping behavior.

Many studies conducted and investigated the impact of the management control system (levers of control) and organizational performance and ignore the elements of MCS as a package. Pakistan textile industry faces a lot of issues regarding MCS as packages elements and due to these issue organizational performance reduced. Therefore, current study portray a framework that consists of some vital elements of control adopted from Malmi and Brown (2008) MCS as a package like planning control, cybernetic controls, rewards and compensation controls, administrative controls, and cultural controls which if empirically investigated would demonstrate the extent of by in Pakistan textile industry and how these controls generate better organizational performance. This suggests that the need for more explanation of Pakistani textile industry managers on the need to adopt better MCS practices as these practices lead to better organizational performance. Although the current paper is conceptual in nature thus, needs an empirical study to address in the light of resource-based view theory.
