Chronic gastritis mainly includes chronic non-atrophic gastritis (CNAG), autoimmune gastritis (AIG), and type B gastritis. Early detection of AIG and type B gastritis will help identify high-risk groups for gastric cancer and prevent the development of irreversible peripheral neuropathy. We aim to develop a computer-assisted diagnosis (CADx) system by presenting a novel Convolution and Relative Self-Attention Parallel Network (CRSAPNet). We collected 3576 endoscopic images of chronic gastritis from 205 patients. MBConv and Relative Self-Attention Parallel Block (CRSAPB) was proposed to concatenate local features (such as mucosal folds and mucosal vessels extracted by MBConv) and global features (such as atrophied area extracted by Relative Self-Attention) in parallel in the last two stages of CRSAPNet. The CADx system distinguished AIG from type B gastritis and CNAG. The CRSAPNet achieved the highest overall accuracy of 95.44% (94.65% precision, 93.51% recall, 94.08% F1-score for AIG) with the fewest parameters. We used Grad-CAM to visually analyze the heat maps. We only replaced the original blocks of the third stage of ResNet50 and ConvNeXt-T with CRSAPB, resulting in an overall accuracy improvement of 0.37%, and 4.19%, respectively. Furthermore, the CADx system classified the three types of chronic gastritis for the first time. The CRSAPNet achieved an overall accuracy of 91.62%, and the overall accuracies in the location of the gastric body and gastric fundus were 93.43% and 92.51%, respectively. This thesis aims at curvilinear mesh generation and adaptation, we start from summary ideally the research project as a simple yet fundamental question: assume a unit square and a smooth function defined on the square, and consider a mesh made of P2 triangles that exactly covers the square, how can we compute the mesh that minimizes the interpolation error. We state the problem as to build a unit curvilinear mesh, i.e. build a mesh with unit edge lengths that are possibly curvilinear. We solve the problem in three stages of increasing complexity: 1) input a unit square and a metric field, to build a unit curvilinear mesh that is possibly anisotropic; 2) input a function, to build an anisotropic curvilinear mesh that minimizes the approximation error; 3) input a high order finite element solution, to build an anisotropic curvilinear adapted mesh. We propose a new framework of curvilinear mesh generation and adaptation: metric field construction, generation of points (point sampling on the boundary and point sampling in the domain), straight-sided mesh generation and adaptation (triangulation and straight-sided edges swap), curvilinear mesh generation, and adaptation (straight-sided edges curving, curvilinear edges swap, and Curvilinear Small Polygon Reconnection). A unit curvilinear mesh containing only valid ``Geodesic Delaunay triangles'' is obtained this way. In this approach, the curvature is not only used to match curved boundaries but also to capture features of the interpolated solutions, and it results in meshes that would not have been achievable by simply curving a posteriori a straight-sided mesh. Here, we report an all-fiber tunable ultrafast Raman laser synchronously pumped by a home-made 1.6 pm dissipative soliton (DS) picosecond (ps) laser, which produces Stokes light beyond 1.7 pm. The Raman gain medium is a segment of highly germanium-doped (Ge-doped) fiber offering a high Raman gain coefficient at the target wavelength. Once the Raman conversion cavity is synchronized with the pump light, a stable 1.7 pm Raman laser (the first Stokes light) can be obtained at a low pump threshold. The maximum output power of the 1.7 pm Raman laser can reach similar to 22.62 mW. The wavelength tuning operation is independent of tunable pump source and intra-cavity filter. By adjusting the intra-cavity delay line simply, the different spectral component within the broad Raman gain bandwidth can be selectively synchronized with the pump light so that the Raman laser wavelength can be tuned continuously from 1702.6 nm similar to 1728.84 nm. This tunable 1.7 pm waveband ultrafast laser will have potential applications in multiphoton microscopy for e.g. deep bio-imaging., QC 20230222

China has the most significant number of people with dementia worldwide, with the prevalence of dementia for people aged 65 and over at 5.6% in 2019. Although the Chinese government has made efforts to establish a three-tier long-term care system (i.e., home care, community care, and institutional care), the undeveloped care system in China cannot meet the rapidly increasing needs of people with dementia. Currently, the health care system in China is composed of three tiers: tier 1 (primary care services), tier 2 (secondary hospitals), and tier 3 (tertiary hospitals). Due to the minimal number of specialists and facilities to provide dementia examination and diagnosis at primary and secondary health services, a formal diagnosis and comprehensive treatment are primarily available in public tertiary hospitals in China, particularly in neurology, geriatric, and psychiatric departments. However, no cross-sectional studies have been conducted to explore dementia knowledge and attitudes of healthcare professionals working in these departments. Moreover, there are no national dementia plans in China, and there is very little evidence about policy recommendations regarding dementia care from the perspectives of healthcare professionals working with people with dementia in acute care settings in China. In China, the majority of people with dementia are taken care of by their family members. Family carers experience challenges due to the progressive nature of dementia, including difficulties in managing the behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD), and the decreased interaction with their relative with dementia. Previous research has investigated family carers’ burden, financial difficulties, and experiences of caring for a relative with dementia. For this purpose, we here propose arbitrarily high-order energy conserving methods for its simulation. However, the detailed biological function of FKBP14 in colon carcinoma remains unclear. The purpose of the present research is to examine the role of FKBP14 in human colon carcinoma cells.Methods: In the present study, FKBP14 induced silencing and overexpression in colon carcinoma cells by using RNA interference (RNAi) and lentiviral vector, respectively. A specific JAK/STAT inhibitor AG490 was used to explore the relationship between FKBP14 and STAT3 in colon carcinoma cells. Moreover, quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) and Western blot were used to examine the level of FKBP14 in colon carcinoma cells. Cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) assay was used to determine the proliferation rate of colon carcinoma cells. Further, the migration rate of colon carcinoma cells was analyzed by performing a migration assay.Results: Our results demonstrated that FKBP14 was upregulated in human colon carcinoma tissues. Moreover, high level of FKBP14 was associated with poor prognosis of colon carcinoma patients. Further, our findings firstly elucidated that FKBP14 was a pro-proliferation and migration factor in colon carcinoma cells. More importantly, FKBP14 might be a novel component in IL-6/JAK/STAT3 pathway and targeted STAT3 in colon carcinoma cells.Conclusion: Our research not only indicated the potential signaling pathway of FKBP14 in colon carcinoma
