Abstract
The article discusses the U.S. Department of Commerce's report that exports of recovered paper in 2006 has started with shipments of over 1.3 million. metric tons. According to the report, deliveries of all grades from the U.S. to Canada has declined 11.2 percent in January 2006. However, shipments to all of the top five countries increased by 15.8 percent due to improved orders from China, Mexico, South Korea and India.

Abstract
The article reports that more than 80 percent of Canadians already have access to the recycling of common corrugated boxes and folding cartons. It discusses the benefits of the access to businesses in the country, such as putting the word "recyclable" on their corrugated or folding carton packaging without adding any qualifying statements. It also offers information on how a business can claim recyclability without qualification.

Abstract
The article reports on the plans of Wal-Mart Canada Corp. to expand its recycling program nationwide. It is inferred that the plan was considered based on the success of the company's pilot project wherein a baler was utilized to create "sandwiches" composed of plastic film pressed between layers of corrugated board. The company hopes to include waste products such as used plastic bags, clothing hangers and plastics in the recycling program.
The article reports on the additional fuel surcharges to be implemented by Sonoco Products Co. in Hartsville, South Carolina on all its recycling operations in the U.S. and Canada. The surcharges will be based on the Energy Information Administration's Weekly Retail on-Highway Diesel Prices index for collection suppliers. Meanwhile, the surcharges will appear as a separate line item on all invoices starting August 1, 2008.
