Abstract
The article reports on the parity law that will be an enforceable regulation in the U.S. The federal government issued a Request for Information (RFI) on April 28, 2009 to have some input regarding the law because there will be no rule-making process after May 28. Meanwhile, the six specific questions ask at the RFI on how insurance covers addiction are enumerated. Excerpts from the comments sent in to the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors are presented.

Abstract
The article announces the collaboration of the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers (NAATP) and the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC) in the U.S. The professional associations have decided to launch a combined public policy and government relations operation. The combined operation will employ a government relations liaison, an intern, and a contract lobbyist.
