The article presents several business principles that the forty-first U.S. president could use in running the government. Among other things, the author cites that the best companies understand that people drive organizational innovation; human resources matter more than money or machines. The next president should adopt policies that will unleash the productivity, morale, and initiative of the federal work force. He should also leverage federal buying power to improve product quality and promote innovation.
