A Model for motorcycle is established with the motorcycle dynamics software BikeSim, and the simulations on motorcycle ride comfort are conducted under two conditions of B-grade road stochastic and pulse excitations. Then with minimizing the acceleration root-mean-square values of both pitching and vertical vibrations as objectives, the characteristic parameters of suspension as design variables, and iSIGHT as platform integrating BikeSim and MATLAB, a multi-objective optimization is performed with Pareto frontier obtained. The results of comparison between the curves and data of pitching and vertical vibrations before optimization and related simulation results before optimization indicate that the ride comfort of motorcycle is improved.
