Abstract

The article reports that according to Pew Research Center there is a decline in share of middle-income families in the U.S. in 2015 as compared to 1971 along with increase in proportion of high-income families and low-income families. Topics discussed include views of writer Neal Gabler regarding lack of emergency fund in middle class, Congress party being the major reason for middle class shrinkage according to a survey by the trust and impact of the shrinkage on American political attitudes.
