TARANTELLA ,ARGENTINE poetry - Abstract
The article offers information on the dance items prepared by Russia's Moiseyev Dance Company for its first U.S. performance in five years to be presented this month at the Metropolitan Opera House in Manhattan, New York. The item titled "Buffoons," is a circus-like satire on Old Russia. Another is the Sicilian Tarantella which is a festive evocation of Italy's traditional folk dance. The last one is based on the Gaucho poetry from Argentine.
