The appropriate communication channel adopted for encouraging better corporate social responsibility in Australia and Slovenia are comparatively analyzed.

Differential diagnosis, the process by which providers use clinical reasoning to filter through possible diagnoses, is routine practice for advanced practice nurses. Teaching differential diagnosis poses a challenge for educators who seek to implement methods that explicate the process and capitalize on students’ existing knowledge. Integration of the Differential Concept Map promotes the development of a visual representation of the typical, internal process students should use in critical thinking and relationship analysis. Nurse practitioner students intentionally work through the map to integrate key assessment data to ensure all possibilities are considered and the individual patient presentation drives the process.

This article details how a small college of nursing affiliated with a faith-based health care corporation integrated the education of end-of-life care into a megacode simulation. Students participated in a high-fidelity simulated megacode scenario in which the simulator died. Following de-briefing, student groups participated in an additional scenario in which faculty coached them through postmortem care and interaction with a family member and a hospital chaplain. As a result of this multidimensional, interprofessional simulation, students developed heightened skill in applying basic life-saving measures, increased knowledge of and comfort with postmortem care, and increased awareness of the emotions elicited by the experience. Public relations literature has only recently drawn on institutional theory to provide insights into legitimacy that go beyond strategic organisational level processes. Many of the existing crisis management studies are approached from a strategic perspective, which have limitations in terms of how organizations manage their legitimacy in relation to broader and often changing social agendas. This study focuses on how impression management is used to deal with legitimacy gaps between organizations and public expectations that draw on an institutional theory perspective. This qualitative study examines the use of organizational accounts through a lens that marries institutional theory and impression management in order to understand how organizations manage their legitimacy. This study of accounts around legitimacy concerns of corporate social responsibility matters shows that organizations relied on their own tangible technical attributes rather than shared norms of what is considered responsible when there are no hard or institutionalised laws and regulations in place around corporate social responsibility concerns. This study offers insights into public relations concerns around impression management during institutional change and in doing so extends existing public relations approaches to crisis management.

Thirteen nearby stars from the former University of Virginia Southern Parallax Program were tested for possible astrometric perturbations that might indicate very low mass companions. For 12 of these stars-LHS 34, 271, 337, 532, 1134, 1565, 2310, 2739, 2813, 3064, 3242, and 3418-no clear indication of any unseen companion was detected. One star, LHS 288, however, may have a perturbation meriting further investigation. These high proper motion stars are all members of the solar neighborhood, lying within 25 pc. Other than the white dwarf LHS 34, these stars are early M dwarfs (M0.5-M5.5 V). After a minimum of 50 observations spread over at least three years, the relative parallax solutions for these stars have errors less than 3 mas. Following the calculation of relative parallaxes and proper motions, time-series analyses using Lomb-Scargle periodograms tested the astrometric residuals for any additional periodic signals. An upper limit to the mass of companions that could remain undetected was estimated for each star individually.
