Abstract

•There is a question whether depressed mood is really associated with vascular dysfunctions due to their commonness in the elderly.•We showed correlations between depressed mood severity and vascular properties in patients suffering from COVID-19 3–6 months earlier.•The results seem to confirm the vascular depression hypothesis and indicate non-neurological factors impacting some mental properties.
