Purpose: This study aims to explore the application scenarios of metaverse offices in organizations, including immersive work experiences, weak social networks and virtual meetings. Based on the exploration of this application scenario, this study discusses four levels of organizational change that will be brought about by the future metaverse office, such as the inter-enterprise ecological collaboration model, distributed autonomous organization, flexible leadership and individual belongingness. The metaverse office has some special advantages over traditional office models, but the metaverse office still raises some issues, such as privacy, security, addiction, equity and usability. These issues brake the widespread adoption of metaverse technologies. The study recommends that researchers take these issues into account in future metaverse research and development. Design/methodology/approach: This study surveys the relevant literature by means of a literature review in order to analyze how metaverse technology can be applied to teleworking. Two databases including Web of Science (https://www.webofscience.com/) and Google Scholar (http://scholar.google.com) were selected for this study. Keywords such as "teleworking and metaverse" were used, and 18 publications were found to be relevant to the study. After excluding duplicates, less relevant and older literature, only 14 articles could be used as references for this study. Based on the exploration of this application scenario, this study discusses four levels of organizational change and issues that will be brought about by the metaverse office of the future. Findings: It presents the application scenarios of the metaverse office in organizations, including immersive work experience, weak social networking and virtual meetings. Social implications: The pandemic triggers a desire for contactless working. The three main applications of the metaverse office also have a practical value which has been proven in some high-tech companies. It is foreseeable that an efficient, electronic and personalized office model will be enthusiastically adopted by society. Metaverse office will gradually step into people's view in the future. Originality/value: The concept of the metaverse office has rarely been touched upon by theoretical research, although the technology is gradually becoming known. Radio frequency identification technology (RFID) has empowered a wide variety of automation industries, such as logistics and freight transportation. To further promote RFID tags adoption, security, power consumption, and cost have always been issues of general concern. This article presents the first synergy of the RFID tag with embedded resistive RAM (RRAM) array and RRAM-based reconfigurable strong physical unclonable function (R-SPUF). The RRAM not only meets the mass storage and technology downscaling but also renders the ultralow-cost “1-cent RFID tag” more feasible. Moreover, the R-SPUF facilitates multiple initializations until a satisfactory distribution and has strong secure keys benefiting from its reconfigurability that improves both safety and reliability. The complete system operates at 13.56 MHz and is compliant with the ISO14443-A and ISO10373-6 (test) protocols. The RFID tag was fabricated on a 1.1-mm2 die based on the 0.18- $\mu \text{m}$ CMOS process. Without resorting to the charge pumps for RRAM read–write operations, the total power consumption is as low as 52.3 $\mu \text{W}$ , of which the RRAM dissipates $16.2~\mu \text{W}$ under a wireless power supply.

Parthenogenetic embryonic stem (pES) cells isolated from parthenogenetic activation of oocytes and embryos, also called parthenogenetically induced pluripotent stem cells, exhibit pluripotency evidenced by both in vitroand in vivodifferentiation potential. Differential proteomic analysis was performed using differential in-gel electrophoresis and isotope-coded affinity tag-based quantitative proteomics to investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying the developmental pluripotency of pES cells and to compare the protein expression of pES cells generated from either the in vivo-matured ovulated (IVO) oocytes or from the in vitro-matured (IVM) oocytes with that of fertilized embryonic stem (fES) cells derived from fertilized embryos. A total of 76 proteins were upregulated and 16 proteins were downregulated in the IVM pES cells, whereas 91 proteins were upregulated and 9 were downregulated in the IVO pES cells based on a minimal 1.5-fold change as the cutoff value. No distinct pathways were found in the differentially expressed proteins except for those involved in metabolism and physiological processes. Notably, no differences were found in the protein expression of imprinted genes between the pES and fES cells, suggesting that genomic imprinting can be corrected in the pES cells at least at the early passages. The germline competent IVM pES cells may be applicable for germ cell renewal in aging ovaries if oocytes are retrieved at a younger age.

We consider the problem of controlling a stochastic industrial manufacturing system producing a single product. The demand for this system consists of two components: one is deterministic with constant rale dand the other is stochastic with random demand batches .The manager can decide at any time to turn on or turn oil the machine. He can also decide at any time to purchase any amount of product from outside vendors. The cost of system operation consists of linear holding cost, machine setup cost, fixed order cost and linear varied purchase cost. The objective is to minimize the total expected discounted cost. Under heavy traffic condition, this problem is approximated by an impulse control problem of Brownian motion, which is solved explicitly. Its solution is then converted into a policy for the original system, which turned out to be asymptotically optimal. The resulting policy is characterized by three parameters [image omitted]  and is dubbed double band policy. Telocytes (TCs), a novel type of interstitial cells, were identified in various animals. Since TCs have not observed in avian skin, hence, we carried out immunohistochemistrical and transmission electron microscopical studies in the skin of the silky fowl to investigate the TCs. TCs appear as CD34, c-Kit and PDGFRα immunopositive. The elongated TCs with two long and thin telopodes (Tps) are located in the dermis. Generally, a TC possesses a fusiform, ovoid and polygonal cell body with 2 Tps (lengths = 5.27–21.85 μm), which are uneven in thickness including thick sections – podoms (diameters = 0.40–0.47 μm) and thin sections – podomers (diameters = 0.03–0.04 μm). TCs/Tps are observed frequently in close proximity to neighbouring cell types/structures, such as adipocytes, collagen fibers and capillary. Under a magnified field, homocellular TCs/Tps contacts are observed through gap junctions (distances = 0.01-0.05 μm), whereas some of TCs/Tps have heterocellular close contacts by point contacts with surrounding cells, including stem cells and melanocytes. The multivisicular bodies, especially exosomes (diameters = 0.09–0.23 μm) releasing from TCs/Tps are observed in close proximity to TCs/Tps. Our results illustrated that the novel type of interstitial cells – TCs are present in the dermis of the silky fowl, and they have special structural relationships with surrounding cell types. The study provides histological evidence for TCs involvement in intercellular communication, skin regeneration and pigmentogenesis in avian skin.

A novel dinuclear dysprosium complex, namely [Dy2 (L) 4 (COO) 2 (CH3OH)2] (1) (L = 2-hydroxy-3-methodxybenzaldehyde-5-bromo oxime), was synthesized, structurally and magnetically characterized. Single-crystal X-ray structural analysis reveals that complex 1 is neutral dinuclear complex, in which two Dy(III) ions with nine-coordinated environment are bridged by two phenoxide groups from two schiff base ligands and four O ions from two molecules of methanoic acid. The magnetic study of complex 1 indicates the slow relaxation of magnetization.

The conventional method for producing embryo stem (ES) cell-derived knockout or transgenic mice involves injection of ES cells into normal, diploid embryos, followed by several rounds of breeding of resultant chimeras, and thus is a time consuming and inefficient procedure. Recently, ES cell-pups have been produced by injection of ES cells into 8-cell embryos using a two-step method requiring an expensive laser-assisted system. Now, we have successfully produced F0 ES cell-mice by injection of eight to ten ES cells into in vitro cultured 4- or 8-cell embryos using a simple one-step, Piezo injection method. First, we attempted to obtain ES cell-mice from two normal ES cell lines (F1 ES cells and F5 ES cells derived from B6X129F1) by injection into 4- or 8-cell stage embryos using the Piezo manipulator. Second, in order to trace the fate of the ES cells, we produced ES cell embryos and fetuses by injection of β-actin promoter-EGFP ES cells. Third, we further tested the efficacy of producing transgenic mice using Nanog promoter-EGFP ES cell line between 4- or 8- cell embryo injection and tetraploid blastocyst injection methods. We showed that ES cells preferentially allocated to the inner cell mass, but not to trophectoderm layers when injected embryos developed to blastocysts. When caesarean sections were performed on 12.5 day foetuses following embryo transfer, most of foetuses expressed strong GFP florescence, regardless of whether 4-cell or 8-cell embryos served as hosts. We also obtained adult ES cell-mice from two normal ES cell lines and Nanog promoter-EGFP ES cell line. Microsatellite analysis confirmed that the mice were derived from ES cells. These pups show full capacity for germline transmission. Moreover, the efficiency of producing live, transgenic mice by injection of genetically manipulated ES cells into 4- or 8-cell embryos is higher than the tetraploid blastocyst injection method, which requires fusion of two-cell embryos and injection twenty to twenty-five ES cells. The Piezo and 4- or 8-cell embryo injection method represents an efficient, convenient and economical technique for producing ES cell offspring, and thus should be applicable in many laboratories for creating genetically manipulated mice using ES cell technology and for stringent testing the developmental potency of new ES cell or other types of pluripotent stem cell lines.
