The objective of this paper is to present how data are produced, managed and exchange in China in the transportation domain. Several important structuring project are presented such as the famous new Silk Road together with more recent initiatives about innovation strategies. Then, after a description of the Chinese legislation, the methodologies and experimental platform for data collection, such as A Nice City in Anting or Superlab project are presented. To examine the effect of myogenin gene on the differentiation of bovine skeletal muscle satellite cell, we constructed small interfering RNA plasmid vector to obtain myogenin knockdown bovine skeletal muscle cells, then used cell transfection, real time RCR and Western Blot to detect the influence of myogenin to cell differentiation. Results showed that the knockdown of myogenin significantly decreased its expression and other muscle-specific genes. Compared to the control, it could differentiate into few myotubes when challenged by low serum in the medium. These findings provided an important theoretical basis for further explore of the genetic mechanism in adult skeletal muscle, the remedy of muscle injuries and the cultivation of high-yield transgenic cattle.

The development and distribution pattern of rural settlements was greatly limited by their natural and social environment. Taking Yulin prefecture in northern Shaanxi’s Loess Plateau area as an example, 1:250,000 map-scale national geographical database as a major information source, a GIS-based research was conducted to investigate the spatial distribution of the rural settlements. In this paper, many significant characteristics of the rural settlement distribution are reviewed by means of a series of GIS-based information processing methodology. The results obtained in this study should be helpful for the urban and rural settlements reconstruction planning in this area.

There is a growing interest in investigating the accuracy of digital elevation model (DEM). However people usually have an unbalanced view on DEM errors. They emphasize DEM sampling errors, but ignore the impact of DEM resolution and terrian roughness on the accuracy of terrain representation. This research puts forward the concept of DEM terrain representation error (Et) and then investigates the generation, factors, measurement and simulation of DEM terrain representation errors. A multi-resolution and multi-relief comparative approach is used as the major methodology in this research. The experiment reveals a quantitative relationship between the error and the variation of resolution and terrain roughness at a global level. Root mean square error (RMS Et) is regressed against surface profile curvature (V) and DEM resolution (R) at 10 resolution levels. It is found that the RMS Et may be expressed asRMS Et=(0.0061·V+0.0052)·V+0.2415. This result may be very useful in forecasting DEM accuracy, as well as in determining the DEM resolution related to the accuracy requirement of particular application.

In order to solve the problems of high data loss rate, long time-consuming resource integration, large amount of redundant data, and incomplete results of resource integration in traditional methods, a design method of distance education resource integration model from the perspective of comparative education is proposed. Association rules are used to mine resources and get effective resources in the context of comparative pedagogy, with the goal of increasing the impact of resource integration. Then, using a three-tier architecture, a remote education resource integration model is created, and the mining results are combined through the application layer, resource encryption layer, and multicast communication layer to achieve distance education resource integration. Simulation results show that the method of this article has low data loss rate, short resource integration time, less redundant data, and comprehensive integration results, which provides an effective technical support for the development of education.

The bradykinln B₂ receptor (BDKRB2) has high affinity for the intact kinins, which mediate a wide spectrum of biological effects, including pain, inflammation, vasodilation, and smooth mnscle contraction and relaxation. In the present study, we have cloned and sequenced the gene encoding human bradyklnin B₂ receptor from a human genomic library. The B₂ receptor gene contains three exons separated by two introns. The first and second exons are noncoding, while the third exon contains the full-length coding region, which encodes a protein of 364 amino acids forming 7 transmembrane domains. The human B₂ gene shares high sequence identity with rat and mouse B₂ receptor genes and significant similarity with the gene encoding the angiotensin 11 type I receptor in the nucleotide sequence and exon-intron arrangement. In the 5' flanking region, a consensus TATA box and several putative transcription factor-binding sites have been identified. Genomic Southern blot analysis showed that the B₂ receptor is encoded by a single-copy gene that was localized to chromosome 14q32 by in situ hybridization. In a Southern blot analysis following reverse transcription and polymerase chain reaction, the human B₂ receptor was found to be expressed in most human tissues. Copyright 1994, 1999 Academic Press

Cellular localization of the B1receptor mRNA in the human kidney was identified by in situ hybridization histochemistry using digoxigenin-labeled riboprobe. With the antisense riboprobe, the B1receptor mRNA was found mostly in the parietal layer of Bowman's capsule and the thin segment of Henle's loop. The renal carcinoma cells were stained with the B1receptor riboprobe. These results showed the cellular localization of human renal B1receptor mRNA and revealed sites of bradykinin action in regulating renal function under normal and pathological conditions.

A laboratory investigation of the radiation-induced degradation of aniline by gamma irradiation is the subject of this paper. During the inquiry, several aqueous samples with aniline concentrations of 25, 50, 75, 100 and 200 mg/L were irradiated for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 h, respectively, by a 60Co source with an absorbed dose rate of 0.78 kGy/h at the core channel. After the testing, the project authors scrutinized the aqueous samples to determine the effects of their irradiation by analyzing the pH, the hydroxyl radical and the H2O2of the individual initial concentrations. The findings showed that gamma irradiation is effective in removing aniline from aqueous solutions and, in the process, tends to remove the chemical oxygen demand (COD). Among other findings, the tests revealed that at a 25 mg/L aniline concentration, up to 100 % removal is possible after only 5 h of exposure. The authors explained that kinetic studies have shown that the degradation of aniline follows a pseudo first-order reaction. They have also shown that pH plays a significant role in aniline-removal efficiency. The tests in this study revealed that with a dose of 7.8 kGy, the removal efficiency of COD in an alkaline environment is higher than that of an acidic environment. With the absorbed dose increases, the authors learned that an acidic environment is helpful for the removal efficiency of COD. They also found that by adding 50 g/L of sodium bicarbonate as the hydroxyl radical scavenger, there was an 8 % decrease in the removal efficiency of COD at the absorbed dose of 23.4 kGy. This indicates the importance of using a hydroxyl radical in the gamma irradiation process. Also, a 1 g/L H2O2addition increases the COD removal rate from 31 % to 55 %. This percentage-point jump shows a synergistic effect in the use of gamma irradiation. The authors also identified several major decomposition products by GC/MS which are useful in the radiation-induced degradation of aniline by gamma irradiation process. Finally, they present proposals of possible pathways for successful aniline decomposition.
