Abstract

Within the framework of an EU-funded project (PRESTiGE) concerned with the interpretation, transmission and implementation of EU education and training policies, this paper examines the nature of the policies in question and the measures adopted for the implementation of two programmes, Socrates and Leonardo. The examination is focused on the implementation of the programmes at the EU level on the one hand and in two Member States, Germany and Sweden, on the other.1
