Controlled quantum teleportation (CQT), which is regarded as the prelude and backbone for a genuine quantum internet, reveals the cooperation, supervision, and control relationship among the sender, receiver, and controller in the quantum network within the simplest unit. Compared with low-dimensional counterparts, high-dimensional CQT can exhibit larger information transmission capacity and higher superiority of the controller’s authority. In this article, we report a proof-of-principle experimental realization of three-dimensional (3D) CQT with a fidelity of 97.4% ± 0.2%. To reduce the complexity of the circuit, we simulate a standard 4-qutrit CQT protocol in a 9×9-dimensional two-photon system with high-quality operations. The corresponding control powers are 48.1% ± 0.2% for teleporting a qutrit and 52.8% ± 0.3% for teleporting a qubit in the experiment, which are both higher than the theoretical value of control power in 2-dimensional CQT protocol (33%). The results fully demonstrate the advantages of high-dimensional multi-partite entangled networks and provide new avenues for constructing complex quantum networks.

Lentivirus-based transgenic Macaca fascicularismonkeys are generated expressing the human MECP2transgene in the brain, and they display behavioural alterations including changes in social interaction and increased anxiety; germline transmission of the transgene to the F1offspring is shown, and these monkeys also had an altered social interaction phenotype.

As the energy distribution in each frequency band of rolling bearing acoustic emission (AE) signal is related to its fault type, so we can use the harmonic wavelet packet to decompose the rolling bearing AE signal of different fault into different frequency band, combine energy in each frequency band together to be a feature vector of the Support Vector Machines (SVM), then being applied to identify the fault through SVM. This paper also compared the Harmonic wavelet packet and Daubechies wavelet packet as well as the SVM and neural networks. The experimental result shows that for the fault pattern identification, the method that combines harmonic wavelet packet decomposition and SVM together can be effective.

Marmosets are highly social non-human primates that live in families. They exhibit rich vocalization, but the neural basis underlying this complex vocal communication is largely unknown. Here we report the existence of specific neuron populations in marmoset A1 that respond selectively to distinct simple or compound calls made by conspecific marmosets. These neurons were spatially dispersed within A1 but distinct from those responsive to pure tones. Call-selective responses were markedly diminished when individual domains of the call were deleted or the domain sequence was altered, indicating the importance of the global rather than local spectral-temporal properties of the sound. Compound call-selective responses also disappeared when the sequence of the two simple-call components was reversed or their interval was extended beyond 1 s. Light anesthesia largely abolished call-selective responses. Our findings demonstrate extensive inhibitory and facilitatory interactions among call-evoked responses, and provide the basis for further study of circuit mechanisms underlying vocal communication in awake non-human primates.

The chronic effects of glycine transporter 1 and 2 inhibitors (sarcosine and ALX-1393, respectively) on miniature inhibitory postsynaptic currents were studied in cultured spinal neurons. We found that sarcosine increased the frequency of overall miniature inhibitory postsynaptic currents without affecting the ratio of glycinergic, mixed and GABAergic miniature inhibitory postsynaptic currents, whereas ALX-1393 changed the ratio by increasing the proportions of GABAergic and mixed miniature inhibitory postsynaptic currents without affecting overall mIPSC frequency. We propose that inhibition of glycine transporter 1 by sarcosine increased overall mIPSC frequency via the activation of presynaptic glycine receptors, while inhibition of glycine transporter 2 by ALX-1393 changed the ratio of glycinergic, mixed and GABAergic miniature inhibitory postsynaptic currents by shifting the balance of inhibitory transmitters in vesicles towards -aminobutyric acid.

Sodium salicylate is one of the nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs and is clinically used for antiinflammation and chronic pain relief. In the present study, we investigated the actions of sodium salicylate on -aminobutyric acid type A receptor (GABAA) current in cultured rat spinal dorsal horn neurons. Sodium salicylate was found to reduce GABAAcurrent in a reversible and concentration-dependent manner, but did not change its ion selectivity. Sodium salicylate was effective only when GABA and sodium salicylate were applied together. Application of sodium salicylate immediately before, but not during, the application of GABA did not result in a significant reduction of GABAAcurrent. Our results demonstrate that sodium salicylate reversibly attenuates the GABAAresponse of dorsal horn neurons, suggesting that GABAAreceptors in the region are pharmacological targets of sodium salicylate.
