Quantum interference is a natural consequence of wave-particle duality in quantum mechanics, and is widely observed at the atomic scale. One interesting manifestation of quantum interference is coherent population trapping (CPT), first proposed in three-level driven atomic systems and observed in quantum optical experiments. Here, we demonstrate CPT in a gate-defined semiconductor double quantum dot (DQD), with some unique twists as compared to the atomic systems. Specifically, we observe CPT in both driven and nondriven situations. We further show that CPT in a driven DQD could be used to generate adiabatic state transfer. Moreover, our experiment reveals a nontrivial modulation to the CPT caused by the longitudinal driving field, yielding an odd–even effect and a tunable CPT. Our results broaden the field of CPT, and open up the possibility of quantum simulation and quantum computation based on adiabatic passage in quantum dot systems.

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the leading cause of anovulatory infertility. Inadequate understanding of the ovulation drivers hinders PCOS intervention. Herein, we report that follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) controls follicular fluid (FF) glutamine levels to determine ovulation. Murine ovulation starts from FF-exposing granulosa cell (GC) apoptosis. FF glutamine, which decreases in pre-ovulation porcine FF, elevates in PCOS patients FF. High-glutamine chow to elevate FF glutamine inhibits mouse GC apoptosis and induces hormonal, metabolic, and morphologic PCOS traits. Mechanistically, follicle-development-driving FSH promotes GC glutamine synthesis to elevate FF glutamine, which maintain follicle wall integrity by inhibiting GC apoptosis through inactivating ASK1-JNK apoptotic pathway. FSH and glutamine inhibit the rapture of cultured murine follicles. Glutamine removal or ASK1-JNK pathway activation with metformin or AT-101 reversed PCOS traits in PCOS models that are induced with either glutamine or EsR1-KO. These suggest that glutamine, FSH, and ASK1-JNK pathway are targetable to alleviate PCOS.

The hybrid manufacturing of laser solid forming (LSF) and ultrasonic impact treatment (UIT) was used to improve the structure and properties of Ti60 alloy by strengthening the surface layer-by-layer. The microstructure, mechanical properties, and burn resistance of LSFed Ti60 samples before and after UIT by SEM, TEM, and XRD were analyzed and compared. The results showed that the grains of LSFed Ti60 alloy were refined and metallurgical defects were reduced after the UIT process. Meanwhile, the deposited layer was severely deformed after UIT and nanocrystals were formed on the surface. In addition, the microhardness of the deposition layer surface increased and the residual stress changed from tensile stress to compressive stress. The area of the ablation hole was reduced by 21% and the proportions of Mo, Nb, and Zr elements increased. In summary, hybrid manufacturing of LSF and UIT can improve the microstructure and properties of LSFed Ti60 samples.

Zn-30Sn-2Cu-xNi (x=0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, wt.%) lead-free solder alloys were prepared via the casting method. Subsequently, their microstructures and corrosion behaviors in 0.5 mol/L NaCl solution were investigated. The electrochemical behaviour was studied using potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) techniques, to evaluate the influence of Ni content on the corrosion performances of the Zn-Sn-Cu alloy. The corrosion mechanism of the Zn-Sn-Cu-Ni alloys was analyzed by observing surface structure evolution during the corrosion process. The results revealed that the addition of 0.5 wt.% Ni improved the corrosion resistance of Zn-30Sn-2Cu alloy due to forming a denser and more homogeneous corrosion layer, which acted as a physical barrier. The phase identification confirmed that the main corrosion products consisted of ZnO, Zn(OH)2, and Zn5(OH)8Cl2·H2O. As the Ni content reached 1.0 and 1.5 wt.%, the corrosion resistance of Zn-30Sn-2Cu alloy declined, which could mainly be attributed to the galvanic corrosion between the (Ni, Cu)5Zn21intermetallics and Zn-rich phase, accelerating the dissolution of Zn-rich phase. Thus, Zn-30Sn-2Cu-0.5Ni solder alloy showed the best corrosion resistance.

To overcome the disadvantages of inhomogeneous microstructures and poor mechanical properties of additively manufactured Ti-6Al-4V alloys, a novel technique of hybrid deposition and synchronous micro-rolling is proposed. The micro-rolling leads to equiaxed prior β grains, thin discontinuous intergranular α, and equiaxed primary α, in contrast to the coarse columnar prior β grains without the application of micro-rolling. The recrystallization by micro-rolling results in discontinuous intergranular α via the mechanism of strain and interface-induced grain boundary migration. The evolution of α globularization, driven by a solute concentration gradient, starts from the sub-boundary until the formation of equiaxed primary α. Simultaneous strengthening and toughening are achieved, which means an increase in yield strength, ultimate tensile strength, fracture elongation, and work hardening rate. The formation of α recrystallization leads to more fine grain boundaries to strengthen the yield strength, and the improvement of ductility is due to the better-coordinated deformation ability of discontinuous intergranular α and equiaxed primary α. As a result, the fracture mode in micro-rolling changes from intergranular type to transgranular type.

Pressure-induced magnetic phase transitions are attracting interest as a means to detect superconducting behaviour at high pressures in diamond anvil cells, but determining the local magnetic properties of samples is a challenge due to the small volumes of sample chambers. Optically detected magnetic resonance of nitrogen vacancy centres in diamond has recently been used for the in situ detection of pressure-induced phase transitions. However, owing to their four orientation axes and temperature-dependent zero-field splitting, interpreting these optically detected magnetic resonance spectra remains challenging. Here we study the optical and spin properties of implanted silicon vacancy defects in 4H-silicon carbide that exhibit single-axis and temperature-independent zero-field splitting. Using this technique, we observe the magnetic phase transition of Nd2Fe14B at about 7 GPa and map the critical temperature–pressure phase diagram of the superconductor YBa2Cu3O6.6. These results highlight the potential of silicon vacancy-based quantum sensors for in situ magnetic detection at high pressures.

A new coordination polymer {[Cd(BIPA)(DCPS)](H2O)}n(1) was constructed with bis(4-(1H-imidazole-1-yl)phenyl)amine and 4,4′-sulfonyldibenzoate ligands. The complex 1features (BIPA–Cd–BIPA)nand (DCPS–Cd–DCPS)nhelical chains in a 3D architecture assembled via hydrogen bonds. A spectroscopic study of complex 1in the crystalline state showed an intense red-shifted photoluminescence as compared with the ligands BIPA and DCPS2−, which can be attributed to the ligand-to-metal charge transfer (LMCT) transitions.

The effect of oxygen vacancies (VO) and the atmosphere influence on persistent luminescence (PersL) in Y3Al2Ga3O12(YAGG):Ce3+,Yb3+are investigated by heating it in CO2, air, and 10% H2/90% Ar atmospheres. The VO-rich YAGG phosphors with outstanding PersL are successfully obtained by the common contribution of the reducing atmosphere and the incorporated Yb3+ions, and the concentration of oxygen vacancies in the phosphors is characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and electron paramagnetic resonance measurements. Compared to the best sample prepared in neutral CO2, the reduced sample shows an increase of 30% in initial intensity and 100% in duration time, while the oxidized sample decreases drastically and shows a faint and undetectable PersL. The enhancement is mainly caused by the abundant formation of VO, which is achieved by the pairing of VOwith Yb2+ions. The newly created VOby the reducing calcination is inferred to be adjacent to the Yb site and forms a compensation-type defect cluster due to the charge compensation effect. These findings reveal that understanding the effect and formation of VOis of great significance to design a high-performance phosphor.

Background: Approximately 20% to 60% of insulinomas cannot be localized preoperatively, and 10% to 20% cannot be found even during surgery. The operative complications associated with the blind surgical explorations are relatively high. Methods: Between January 1987 and December 1995, intraoperative ultrasound was used to localize insulinomas and guide surgical procedure in 28 patients. Results: Insulinomas were found by intraoperative systematic palpation in 24 patients (85.7%), while intraoperative ultrasound localized the tumors in 27 patients (96.4%). By the combination of these two techniques, all tumors were discovered. The surgical procedures were guided by intraoperative ultrasound. The operative complication rate was 14.3%. Conclusion: Intraoperative ultrasound can accurately localize insulinoma, and delineate the spatial relationship between tumor and vital structures, such as pancreatic duct, common bile duct, and critical blood vessels. Holes in nanowires have drawn significant attention in recent years because of the strong spin–orbit interaction, which plays an important role in constructing Majorana zero modes and manipulating spin–orbit qubits. Here, from the strongly anisotropic leakage current in the spin blockade regime for a double dot, we extract the full g-tensor and find that the spin–orbit field is in plane with an azimuthal angle of 59° to the axis of the nanowire. The direction of the spin–orbit field indicates a strong spin–orbit interaction along the nanowire, which may have originated from the interface inversion asymmetry in Ge hut wires. We also demonstrate two different spin relaxation mechanisms for the holes in the Ge hut wire double dot: spin-flip co-tunneling to the leads, and spin–orbit interaction within the double dot. These results help establish feasibility of a Ge-based quantum processor.

To explore the antiinflammatory mechanism of agarwood on recurrent aphthous stomatitis (RAS). RAS is the most common mucosal disease in the oral cavity. The clinical application of traditional Chinese medicine found that agarwood has significant curative effect on peptic ulcer, but the effect and mechanism of agarwood on RAS remain unclear. This study is intended to predict the potential antiinflammatory mechanisms by which agarwood acts on RAS through network pharmacology and molecular docking. TCMSP database was used to screen the active components of agarwood. RAS targets were screened in Genecards, DisGeNET, and OMIM database. Venny, an online tool, screens for interacting genes between the two. Cytoscape software was used to construct the gene regulation map of active compounds target of agarwood. String Database building protein-protein interaction network. Gene ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathways were enriched in DAVID database. The key active ingredients and core targets were further verified by molecular docking. There were 9 effective compounds and 186 target genes in agarwood; RAS has 793 target genes. There were 41 interacting genes between agarwood and RAS. Interleukin 6, tumor necrosis factor, interleukin 1 beta, and cellular component motif ligand 2 may be key targets. Gene ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes enrichment analyses predicted multiple pathways associated with RAS. Molecular docking results showed that the active compounds of agarwood combined well and stably with the target. The Chinese herbal medicine agarwood can relieve the inflammation of RAS through multiple targets and various ways. Its active compounds may be nominated as candidates for antiinflammatory drugs of RAS.

Herein, we present a new method for determining the Ca isotopic composition of geological samples. To eliminate matrix elements from Ca, a column chromatography method was developed using a N,N,N′N′ tetraoctyl-1,5-diglycolamide (TODGA) resin. The Ca isotopic compositions were measured by a multiple collector inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (MC-ICP-MS) without collision cell equipment, especially that direct measurement to 44Ca/40Ca can be achieved. To mitigate the interference from 40Ar during 40Ca measurement, the cold plasma technique was used to suppress the Ar+generation, resulting in a background Ar+intensity of <300 mV, in contrast to the conventional hot plasma conditions, which typically yield thousands of volts for Ar+intensities. Given the potential for a concentration mismatch between the sample and bracketed standard solutions to cause an intensive shift in measured Ca isotopic compositions, a correction for the [Ca] match is needed. To avoid matrix effects arising from residue matrix elements, it is crucial to limit the concentrations below 1% of Ca for most matrix elements (including Al, Mg, K, Na, and Sr) and below 1‰ for Fe. Notably, the tolerance of residue Sr is effectively improved compared to measurements with CC-MC-ICP-MS and traditional Hot-plasma-SSB-MC-ICP-MS methods with the conventional hot plasma technique, thereby lowering the complexity of column chemistry. The measured δ44/40Ca, δ44/42Ca, and ε40Ca values for eight reference materials agree well with previously reported values within analytical uncertainties. This method demonstrates long-term precision is better than 0.10‰ (two standard deviations) for both δ values (i.e., δ44/40Ca and δ44/42Ca). We anticipate that the proposed method will benefit the growth of the Ca isotope data set and foster an increase in the application of Ca isotope in Earth science studies.

AbstractFatty acids (FAs) in oilseeds are important for human health. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) is a popular analytical technology for FAs measurement. FAs need to be derivatized into fatty acid methyl esters (FAMEs), which is essential for GC-MS analysis. The previous methods for methylation of FAs usually include reaction at high temperature and need specific vessels, for which samples with a large scale cannot be analyzed in a short time, leading to low efficiency. Here we report a high-throughput method for profiling fatty acids in plant seeds based on one-step acid-catalyzed methylation followed by GC-MS. This method for FA methylation viaderivatization by sulfuric acid with methanol (5%, v/v) and incubation at 64 °C for 4 h in a more convenient 2 mL tube, is efficient. Satisfactory methodological performance was achieved by optimization of the parameters. Only 5 mg seeds were needed as a microscale sample usage by this method. The method is a successful approach to increase the efficiency of sample preparation and analysis for large-scale experiments.

A three-layer Ta2O5-containing coating was successfully fabricated by laser cladding on a pure Ta substrate. The maximum thickness of such a coating is about 1.6 mm. The microstructure, phase constitution and elemental distribution in the coating were investigated. Results show that the coating has been metallurgically bonded to the Ta substrate and the microstructure exhibits a graded change along the deposition direction from Ta substrate to the top of coating. In the layers I and II of the graded coating, the microstructure evolution can be confirmed as a result of hypomonotectic reaction, but in the layer III it was formed by hypermonotectic reaction. At the top of coating, the microstructure was still homogeneous although liquid phase separation had occurred, which can be attributed to the fact that the O-rich droplets do not have enough time to float at high cooling rate. The theoretical calculation results show that during laser cladding, the solidification time of the melt pool was less than 0.1 s, which fits well with the results from the experiment.

In a circuit quantum electrodynamics (circuit QED) architecture, the microwave resonator could be used to couple and probe qubits. The long-range coupling and information transfer between nonlocal qubits can be performed via photons trapped in a microwave resonator, promising an effective approach for scaling up solid-state qubits. A series of important advances in the hybrid system composed of a microwave resonator and semiconductor qubits have been achieved in recent years. For instance, with applications of high-impedance microwave resonators, the strong coupling regime between charge/spin qubits and a microwave resonator has been reached. Simultaneously, resonator-based dispersive readout and single-shot readout to probe the qubit state have been further improved due to the increase of the coupling strength. Here, we briefly introduce this hybrid system related to the progress and fruits in achieving the strong coupling between charge/spin qubits in double quantum dots (DQDs) and the resonator, the long-range coupling between qubits, and also the applications of the resonator for qubit state readout.

It has been reported that Arabidopsischloroplast accDtranscripts undergo RNA editing and that loss of accD-C794 RNA editing does not affect plant growth under normal conditions. To date, the exact biological role of accD-C794 editing has remained elusive. Here, we reveal an unexpected role for accD-C794 editing in response to heat stress. Loss of accD-C794 editing results in a yellow and dwarf phenotype with decreased chloroplast gene expression under heat stress, and artificial improvement of C794-edited accDgene expression enhances heat tolerance in Arabidopsis. These data suggest that accD-C794 editing confers heat tolerance in planta. We also found that treatment with the product of acetyl coenzyme A carboxylase (ACCase) could allay mutant phenotypic characteristics and showed that a mutation in the CAC3gene for the α-subunit of ACCase was associated with dwarfism under heat stress. These observations indicate that defective accD-C794 editing may be intrinsic to reduced ACCase activity, thereby contributing to heat sensitivity. ACCase catalyzes the committed step of de novofatty acid (FA) biosynthesis. FA content analysis revealed that unsaturated oleic (C18:1) and linoleic acids (C18:2) were low in the accD-C794 editing-defective mutant but high in the C794-edited accD-overexpressing plants compared with the wild type. Supplying exogenous C18:1 and C18:2 could rescue the mutant phenotype, suggesting that these FAs play an essential role in tolerance to heat stress. Transmission electron microscopy observations showed that heat stress seriously affected the membrane architecture in accDediting-defective mutants but not in accD-overexpressing plants. These results provide the first evidence that accD-C794 editing regulates FA biosynthesis for maintenance of membrane structural homeostasis under heat stress.

We fabricate and characterize a hybrid quantum device that consists of five gate-defined double quantum dots (DQDs) and a high-impedance NbTiN transmission resonator. The controllable interactions between DQDs and the resonator are spectroscopically explored by measuring the microwave transmission through the resonator in the detuning parameter space. Utilizing the high tunability of the system parameters and the high cooperativity (Ctotal> 17.6) interaction between the qubit ensemble and the resonator, we tune the charge-photon coupling and observe the collective microwave response changing from linear to nonlinear. Our results present the maximum number of DQDs coupled to a resonator and manifest a potential platform for scaling up qubits and studying collective quantum effects in semiconductor–superconductor hybrid cavity quantum electrodynamics systems.

We develop a method to fabricate an undoped Ge quantum well (QW) under a 32 nm relaxed Si0.2Ge0.8shallow barrier. The bottom barrier contains Si0.2Ge0.8(650 °C) and Si0.1Ge0.9(800 °C) such that variation of Ge content forms a sharp interface that can suppress the threading dislocation density (TDD) penetrating into the undoped Ge quantum well. The SiGe barrier introduces enough in-plane parallel strain (ε∥strain −0.41%) in the Ge quantum well. The heterostructure field-effect transistors with a shallow buried channel obtain an ultrahigh two-dimensional hole gas (2DHG) mobility over 2 × 106cm2/(V s) and a very low percolation density of (5.689 ± 0.062) × 1010cm–2. The fractional indication is also observed at high density and high magnetic fields. This strained germanium as a noise mitigation material provides a platform for integration of quantum computation with a long coherence time and fast all-electrical manipulation.

Hole spin qubits based on germanium (Ge) have strong tunable spin–orbit interaction (SOI) and ultrafast qubit operation speed. Here we report that the Rabi frequency (fRabi) of a hole spin qubit in a Ge hut wire (HW) double quantum dot (DQD) is electrically tuned through the detuning energy (ϵ) and middle gate voltage (VM). fRabigradually decreases with increasing ϵ; on the contrary, fRabiis positively correlated with VM. We attribute our results to the change of electric field on SOI and the contribution of the excited state in quantum dots to fRabi. We further demonstrate an ultrafast fRabiexceeding 1.2 GHz, which indicates the strong SOI in our device. The discovery of an ultrafast and electrically tunable fRabiin a hole spin qubit has potential applications in semiconductor quantum computing.

AbstractIn this study, sulfamethoxazole (SMX) degradation was investigated using an ultrasonic-assisted ozone oxidation process (UAOOP). The influencing factors of ozone concentration, pH, initial SMX concentration, ultrasound power density, and radical scavenger were studied. It was proved that ultrasound application enhanced ozonation function for SMX degradation. Color change of the water during the oxidation process was found to be corresponding to SMX concentration decay in wastewater. The results indicated that SMX degradation followed a pseudo-first-order kinetic model under experimental operating conditions. SMX degradation rate increased with ozone concentration, pH, and ultrasound power density, and was inversely proportional to the initial SMX concentration. Although the direct and indirect oxidation of ozone simultaneously existed in the UAOOP system, the direct oxidation was the predominant way. Meanwhile, the biological toxicity of the solution was weakened and biological oxygen demand/chemical oxygen demand ratio increased from 0 to 0.54. It was indicated that the UAOOP system was efficient to treat SMX wastewater and promote biodegradability for further biological treatment.

The palladium nanoparticles/carbon nanofibers (Pd NPs/CNFs) catalyst was prepared by the electrospinning method, hydrazine hydrate solution reduction in an ice bath environment, and the high temperature carbonization. The catalyst is a highly active catalyst for Suzuki and Heck reactions and it can be used for at least five consecutive runs without significant loss of its catalytic activity.

New Al-Mg alloys have been developed for super-plastic forming (SPF) based on commercial AA5083/AA5086 alloys, but with an increased Mn content from 0.5 to 1.5 wt.% and a decreased impurity Fe level from 0.25 to 0.05 wt.%.The effects of Mn and Fe levels on super-plasticity have been investigated by high temperature tensile testing of cold rolled H18 sheets at 425 to 525°C with a strain rate of 2×10-3 s-1. The microstructure evolution during different processing stages, grain size and grain size stability were investigated by optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. Both Mn and Fe showed a similar and significant contribution to grain size control in recrystallization, but their effect on high temperature sheet formability was different. An increase in Mn level led to an improvement in high temperature tensile elongation, while an increase in Fe content reduced the sheet formability. A new alloy with 1.5 wt.% Mn and 0.05 wt.% Fe, when processed to H18 temper, was able to reach more than 400% tensile elongation at 450 - 500°C with a strain rate of 2×10-3 s-1.

Core-shell composite beads comprising a Pd-loaded Al2O3core and a shell of inter-grown silicalite-1 (siliceous ZSM-5) crystals were synthesised. The incompatibility between the Pd/Al2O3core and the zeolite shell was circumvented by a layer-by-layer self-assembly of polyelectrolyte to adsorb nanosized silicalite-1 seeds onto the core surface, followed by a secondary solvo-thermal treatment to form the continuous and well-intergrown silicalite-1 shell. The thickness of the outer zeolite shell could be tuned by monitoring the secondary growth time. When employed as catalyst for the hydrogenation reaction of alkenes to explore its full potential use, the Pd/Al2O3@silicalite-1 core-shell catalyst exhibited excellent size-selectivity, poison-resistance and leaching-proof properties. Such a catalyst@zeolite core-shell structure is expected to find promising applications in heterogeneous catalysis and adsorption.

Graphite brasses were prepared by graphitizing annealing of cast brasses containing cementite particles, which were in-situ formed during the fasting process. The eutectic cast iron as carbon source was added into common brasses by casting. SEM and EDS were used to analyze the microstructure of graphite brasses, and the relationship between the microstructure and machinability was investigated. The results show that graphite particles are formed by the decomposition of cementite particles in cast brasses. The graphite particles are uniformly dispersed in the brass matrix with the average size of 5.0 μm and the volume fraction of ∼1.1%. The machinability in the graphite brass is dramatically increased relative to the common brass, because of the lubricating properties of graphite particles and its role in chip breaking. The workpiece surface of the graphite brasses chips is smooth and burr-free, and the chips of graphite brasses are short (C-shape) and discontinuous, which is much better than that of the long spiral chips of common brasses.

A set of stacked ribbons with the composition of Fe77Ga23were prepared with different wheel velocities of 7 m/s, 12.5 m/s and 25 m/s (named as S7, S12.5and S25, respectively). High resolution X-ray diffraction patterns of these ribbons show that all the ribbons present the disordered A2structure, whereas an additional modified-DO3phase is detected in S12.5and S25. S25has stronger (100) texture than other two samples. Ga K-edge extended X-ray absorption fine structure results indicate that both bond distance and the number of Ga atoms in the second neighbor shell around Ga decrease with increasing wheel velocity. No Ga cluster is detected in the studied ribbons. A short-range ordering Ga-rich phase and large local strain have no obvious influence on magnetostriction of S7. It is believed that both the (100) texture and the additional modified-DO3phase play a positive role in magnetostrictive properties of Fe77Ga23ribbons.

A new development technique or method of graphical distribution network theoretical loss calculation software which based on Visio is presented in this paper. The software not only uses the graphical functions of Visio, but also fundamentally overcome the serious shortage of the Microsoft Visio VBA, it makes the drawing program in power system application software from the traditional VBA model to the embedded mode, and it can achieve the real time control of graphical distribution network theoretical loss calculation software. The study and applications show that this technical innovation gives a new effective approach for the development of graphical power system application software.

Large fluctuation of wind not only make bigger change in turbine output, which may cause talkaround of wind turbine and threaten the safety of the grid. The article studied the wind disturbance problem of DFIG by simulation.The transducer used in article all have vector control and propeller pitch control. The article has some reference function to the related study.

By isothermal annealing tests, the recrystallization and grain growth behaviors of 316L stainless steel fibers with a diameter of 8 μm were investigated using the optical microscope (OM), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray texture analysis methods. The average grain size of the fibers with a diameter of 8 μm annealed at different conditions was quantitatively measured. The grain growth equations of the fibers were constructed, and the activation energies for grain growth of the fibers were also determined. Meanwhile, efforts have been paid on analyzing the texture evolution of 316L stainless steel fibers before and after annealing.

The online identification of low frequency oscillation mode based on measured signal from PMU is the base of damping control. Removing nonlinear trend from the signal effectively can ensure the precision of mode identification. A method named smoothness prior approach (SPA) is proposed to remove the nonlinear trend from measured signal. In order to meet the demand of removing nonlinear trend for identification of low frequency oscillation based on analyzing the basic principle of smoothness prior approach, it determines regularization parameter of smoothness prior approach according to its characteristic of frequency response. It is used to analyze the simulation signals from IEEE-39 bus power system and the measured signals in some power grid, and compared with empirical mode decomposition and digital filter method. The results demonstrate that this proposed method can successfully remove nonlinear trend from the signal and improve the speed of computation, as well as the precision of mode identification, which has a relatively high practical value.

Fault signal contains a large number of non-fundamental frequency transient signals when distribution line fault occurs, fault detection for power distribution line could be carried out to extract non-fundamental transient characteristics of zero-sequence voltage by Hilbert-Huang transform. And as long as the fault has been detected by using the Hilbert-Huang transform, the selection of the fault line could be used to fault locating. The Hilbert-Huang transform has been used to fault detection of power distribution line, and the results were compared with wavelet analysis method, which indicates the effectiveness and sensitivity of the proposed method.

A new rationale to assess the work-hardening locus for pre-rolled sheets is described based on the realization that since the internal stresses necessarily sum to zero, the mean dislocation density remains the same upon re-pull in the rolling direction. Thus the 0.2 % yield stress as function of thickness strains results in an estimate of the stress-strain relation during rolling. Under plane strain, the thickness strain is negative to that of extension and hence the deduced rolling locus is compared to that of extrapolated tensile one of the start sheet. This comparison indicates that the onset of Stage IV occurs when volume fraction of point defects produced attains about 2 %.

An experimental 6XXX series aluminum alloy, Al-0.4Mg-1.2Si-0.49Cu-0.14Mn-0.2Fe(wt.%), was cold rolled 73% and the kinetics of its static recovery studied isochronally between 80 to 350°C, and isothermally at 175 and 205°C. Typical recovery is described by an extrinsic property such as yield stress, however, this study utilized the intrinsic dislocation density extracted from x-ray line profile analysis using a modified Williamson-Hall analysis. The static recovery of dislocation density was fit to the models of Nes [Acta Metall. Mater. 43 (1995) 2189–2207], suggesting that recovery is controlled by the migration of jogged screw dislocations assuming no lateral drift during annealing. The model fit of isothermal annealing at 175°C and 205°C yields activation energies of 0.99 and 1.7 eV/at., respectively. The change in energies can be correlated to an observed change in lattice strain with recovery.

The occurrence of pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs) in surface water, and their potential impacts on human health are emerging issues all over the world. This paper summarizes the data from worldwide research groups, aiming to illustrate the occurrence of PPCPS, and their potential threatens to human health. Furthermore, the current efficient treatment methods for the PPCPS were discussed as well.

Applying ecology evolutionary algorithm of food chain which simulates biological energy transfer mode to multistage transmission network planning (MTNP). According to the characteristics of MTNP, a real number encoding method is proposed to solve the problem that decision variables dimension increases as the stage increases. The test is performed on a 19-bus system and demonstrates the method EEAFC-based MTNP is practical and effective.

Spin defects in silicon carbide appear to be a promising tool for various quantum technologies, especially for quantum sensing. However, this technique has been used only at ambient pressure until now. Here, by combining this technique with diamond anvil cell, we systematically study the optical and spin properties of divacancy defects created at the surface of SiC at pressures up to 40 GPa. The zero-field-splitting of the divacancy spins increases linearly with pressure with a slope of 25.1 MHz/GPa, which is almost two-times larger than that of nitrogen-vacancy centers in diamond. The corresponding pressure sensing sensitivity is about 0.28 MPa/Hz–1/2. The coherent control of divacancy demonstrates that coherence time decreases as pressure increases. Based on these, the pressure-induced magnetic phase transition of Nd2Fe14B sample at high pressures was detected. These experiments pave the way to use divacancy in quantum technologies such as pressure sensing and magnetic detection at high pressures.

In the present study, the Acetyl-coenzyme A carboxylase (ACCase) of Chlorella sp. USTB-01 purified and characterized. Molecular weight of ACCase was calculated to be about 456 kD and was comprised of two identical subunits of 229 kD. The enzymatic characteristics isoelectric point was 6.7. Moreover, a rapid and sensitive assay of High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was established to measure overall activity of ACCase in low protein content condition by detect the ACCase activity by measuring ADP production and Acetyl-coenzyme A (Acetyl-CoA).

Based on getting block oilfield original drilling core data, the study established a geological physical parameters database and visual geological model of block oilfield, including block areas model, fault model, surface model and so on, by choosing several block oilfield oil parameters and using geological sections. The paper established block model by using hexahedral subdivision skills, estimated three-dimensional space physical parameters by using geostatistics theory and constraints of block areas and faults. It got block oilfield rock parameters spatial distribution and supplied a effective method to find oil rich regions and reach rolling development goals.

An optimized battery state of charge (SOC) estimation method has been proposed in this paper. The method is based on extended Kalman filter (EKF) and combines Ah counting method and open-circuit voltage (OCV) method. According to the current excitation-response of a battery, the internal parameters of the battery model were identified by the method of least squares. Then the proposed estimation method is verified by experiments. The results show that the estimation method can reduce the cumulative error caused by long discharge and it can estimate the battery SOC effectively and accurately.

This paper proposes an emergency obstacle avoidance control method based on driver steering intention recognition for steer-by-wire vehicle in order to solve the problem that the response rate and stability time are unsatisfactory. The paper focuses on the method to recognize driver steering intention, and builds a driver steering behavior model by using the multidimensional Gauss HMM theory, optimizes the model by using the Baum-Welch algorithm and conducts real-time verification on steering intention recognition by means of LabVIEW and driving simulator. The results indicate that the driver steering intention recognition method has higher recognition accuracy and can help to realize emergency obstacle avoidance control effectively for steer-by-wire vehicle.

The IGF refined microalloyed non-tempered steel with high strength and toughness is developed, by adding trace elements such as vanadium and titanium and using aluminum as the deoxidizing elements. The combination of these elements and elements C and N in the steel leads to the precipitation of a great deal of fine and scattered alloy carbides and nitrides. These fine particles provide ideal precipitation positions for IGF’s nucleation. The results show that a lot of IGF appears in the developed steel after hot-forging and air cooling, which effectively divides up the austenite grains and refines the steel structures. The strength and toughness of the steel is increased. The tensile strength reaches 1150Mpa and the impact toughness is between 61.35-65.37J/cm2.

Dynamic performance of high speed dynamic balancing machine directly affects the accuracy and safety of dynamic balancing machine. ANSYS 12.0 was used to establish the frame structure model in this paper. The four models of dynamic balancing machine were calculated respectively. The calculation results show that additional stiffness can greatly improve the natural frequencies of dynamic balancing machine. In addition, as the base is large, we can ignore the influence on natural frequencies caused by the base.

In this paper, Al-12.6%Si/Al63Cu25Fe12 composites were fabricated by method of casting. The microstructure and chemical composition of Al63Cu25Fe12 quasicrystal alloy and Al-12.6%Si alloy reinforced by the quasicrystal were studied, and the mechanical properties of Al-12.6%Si composite were also measured. The results show that almost single quasicrystalline phases exist in the samples which are cast with the 1300℃ melt. Quickly enough cooling rate and appropriate melt temperature are necessary for the formation of the quasicrystalline phase. In addition, Al-12.6%Si composite has optimal mechanical properties when the amount of Al63Cu25Fe12 quasicrystal is 3 wt%.

Coating a heterogeneous layer outside the core nanoparticles has become a common method to protect the properties of nanoparticles and may extend the application range of core nanoparticles. Rare earth ion-doped nanoparticles NaYF4:Yb 3+ ,Er 3+ is one of the most efficient up-conversion nanosystems. In this work, a multi-functional NaYF4:Yb 3+ ,Er 3+ @TiO2 core-shell structure nanocomposite was synthesized. The structure, optical and photoluminescence properties of the up-converting nanoparticles were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and room temperature up-conversion luminescence (UCL) spectrofluorimetric measurements.

The flow field inside cyclone separator is a kind of complex three-dimensional rotation turbulent flow with two-phase separation phenomenon. In order to optimize the structure and shorten the cycle of research and development, it is very essential to find the appropriate calculation method for the flow field inside cyclone separator. In this article, the internal flow field of tangential inlet cyclone separator was simulated and calculated by adopting different calculation model and different numerical simulation scheme by orthogonal design method. And the result was compared with that of existing experiment to find a reasonable method for the simulation of the flow field inside the cyclone. On the basis of standard k-ε model, the numerical simulation scheme was formulated by the orthogonal test method, through the comparison of results, the best combinations are gained; This research result has certain reference value for cyclone separator design and performance optimization.

An anion exchange resin NDP-5 has been prepared successfully and applied on the selective removal of nitrate from SO42−/NO3−binary co-existence system. The composition and morphology of NDP-5 were confirmed by FT-IR and SEM. The NDP-5 resin exhibits the completely different behavior on the adsorption capacity, adsorption kinetic and the effect of the completing anion in the absence or presence of sulfate, compared to D213. And, the resultants of kinetic are well fitted by the pseudo-first-order and pseudo-second-order models. These results are very important to develop novel resins with great features.

This article chose 12 typical dress fabrics to study the properties. FAST testing and Fabric dynamic drape style instrument were used to test 14 fabric characteristics which were predigested through Factor Analysis to extract the main properties, so that the time to test fabric properties need could be saved, and could give a basis for selecting characteristic indices of fabric properties on virtual garment reasonably as well.
