Data on businesses collected by statistical agencies are challenging to protect. Many businesses have unique characteristics, and distributions of employment, sales, and profits are highly skewed. Attackers wishing to conduct identification attacks often have access to much more information than for any individual. As a consequence, most disclosure avoidance mechanisms fail to strike an acceptable balance between usefulness and confidentiality protection. Detailed aggregate statistics by geography or detailed industry classes are rare, public-use microdata on businesses are virtually inexistant, and access to confidential microdata can be burdensome. Synthetic microdata have been proposed as a secure mechanism to publish microdata, as part of a broader discussion of how to provide broader access to such data sets to researchers. In this article, we document an experiment to create analytically valid synthetic data, using the exact same model and methods previously employed for the United States, for data from two different countries: Canada (Longitudinal Employment Analysis Program (LEAP)) and Germany (Establishment History Panel (BHP)). We assess utility and protection, and provide an assessment of the feasibility of extending such an approach in a cost-effective way to other data.

The aim of this study is to present the results of commissioning of Elekta Synergy linear accelerator (linac). The acceptance test and commissioning were performed for three photon beams energies 4 MV, 6 MV and 15 MV and for the multileaf collimator (MLC). The percent depth doses (PDDs), in-plane and cross-plane beam profiles, head scatter factors (Sc), relative photon output factors (Scp), universal wedge transmission factor and MLC transmission factors were measured. The size of gantry, collimator, and couch isocenter were also measured.

Currently, treatment with oral direct-acting antivirals is recommended for all HCV-infected pediatric patients. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of sofosbuvir and ribavirin combination therapy for children and adolescents in Bangladesh who are living with chronic HCV infection.

A comparative study has been made to analyze the impact of interstitial iron in minority carrier lifetime of multicrystalline silicon (mc-Si). It is shown that iron plays a negative role and is considered very detrimental for minority carrier recombination lifetime. The analytical results of this study are aligned with the spatially resolved imaging analysis of iron rich mc-Si.

A series of 16 novel 4-(5-chloro-3-methyl-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-6-(substituted-phenyl)pyrimidin-2-ol analogues was synthesized in satisfactory yields after toxicity prediction and drug score studies by Osiris software followed by anti-inflammatory, analgesic, ulcerogenic, and lipid peroxidation activities of 10 compounds by the known reported methods. 4-(5-chloro-3-methyl-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-6-(4-chlorophenyl)pyrimidin-2-ol (6g) was found to be a potent compound of the series showed good anti-inflammatory (81.91 ± 7.69 inhibition) and analgesic activity (53.25 ± 2.91) with less ulcerogenic effects (0.66 ± 0.40).

Interoperability is a key issue in implementing an e-Government system. Grid Computing based service for interoperability (e-Gov Grid Computing) could be a solution for resource sharing and interoperability of e-Gov systems. The main objective of this paper is to develop an e-Gov Grid Computing Model through e-Gov policy in Bangladesh in order to ensure good governance. The necessary reformation which are required for implementation of  ICT Grid Computing system for e-Government are administrative reform for governmental and non-governmental organizations for ensuring transparency and accountability, economic and financial systems reform, politics and political parties reform, planning and policy reform, judicial reform, reform in organizations engaged in ensuring law and order.

Computer Controller has found their place in many different applications. A Controller can be a good choice whenever controlled movement is required. This paper presents the usage of the applications of stepper motors in different areas including printers, plotters, high-end office equipment, hard disk drives, medical equipment, fax machines, robotic, washing machine, power generator automation, satellite automation, sensing automation, bio-sensing systems, earthquake measurement any automotive and many more. Practical experiment shows that when Controller is connected with parallel port, it can be controlled by the computer.
