The MUNU experiment was designed to study elastic scattering at low energy. The Bugey nuclear power plant was used as source. The detector, a gas Time Projection Chamber immersed in a tank filled with liquid scintillator serving as veto, is situated at 18 m from the reactor. Data, corresponding to 66.6 days reactor-on and 16.7 days reactor-off, have been analysed using a visual scanning method. A new limit for the neutrino magnetic moment was derived to: μ ν < 1.0×10−10 μ B . An automatic scanning involving a neural network method, used to extend the analysis at low energy (400 keV), is also discussed. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
